  1. I recreated the schematics and uploaded them in another thread awhile ago hope they help. Here's the link. Atari Video Music Schematics
  2. As save2600 said yes they do come apart. There are 6 bolts under the coin door on the right which you may have to remove the shifter plate to get to if you cant loosen them from the back. If you just want to split the cab then there are 2 more bolts on the left floorboard that need to be removed these are normally carriage bolts so they can be difficult to remove if it's been sitting awhile. I had to cut a grove in the top of the bolt so i could stick a flat screwdriver in there and get the leverage to break the nut free and keep it from spinning. If you need to remove the angle iron that runs down the left side that the bolts run through there are 4 more bolts. Here's a picture of mine with just the front half
  3. Hi I was wondering if you still had any multi carts and composite mod available? If so I'd be interested in purchasing them and the box if you still have one. Thanks Matt blinddog
  4. I was working on redrawing the AVM schematic using the blurry scan that was on the Internet and verifying using my old machine. I finished the first draft some time ago and I have had the second draft done for awhile now but haven't done anything with it so I guess I should release what I have. I've gone through and doubled checked the values and I believe they are all correct but there is always a chance I missed something or mistyped but I really tried to be thorough. I never did find the value of the coil L4 I didn't see any values on the one in my machine and I cannot read the numbers on the schematic. Blinddog Redrawn AVM Schematic.pdf
  5. I really enjoy space race. I'm glad to see someone taking the time to restore one. The antenna pin doesn't go to anything it is just a length of wire can't remember how long that hangs of the edge connector. It is used to shutdown the credit circuit if it senses some one trying to shock the cabinet as a way to get free credits
  6. hmm, I'd say: 1. Asteroids 2. Red Baron 3. Gun Fight 4. Frogger 5. Spy Hunter 6. Timber 7. Monaco GP 8. Berzerk 9. Rip Off 10. Sprint 2 Runner up/bonus EM game: Bally Road Runner
  7. Thanks, I enjoyed watching the video. it's good to see the black and whites getting some attention I really like them and they have been the focus of my collection for quite some time. I think I'm up to 26 or so now. Here's a few of mine, hope you don't mind me posting them in your thread
  8. Heres a scan of the manual I made a while ago. It's 6mb so it looks like I should be able to attach it. I've been working on recreating the schematics too but my hd died as i was working on my first draft I have a hard copy with my notes on it but i haven't gone and recreated it yet or double check the values. c-240 manual.pdf
  9. The led on the monitor is the spot killer it blanks out the screen if there is no video input so you don't burn a spot in the center of the screen. How does your +5 volts look? It sounds like a board issue to me but I’m by no means a vector expert. By any chance do you have another vector monitor or with a decent oscilloscope you should be able to hook it up to the XY outputs and Z if your scope supports it and see what being generated off the board. You may want to look into joining the KLOV forum too. They focus more on arcade games and they're pretty good at answer questions Nice pickup by the way. Red Baron is a great game.
  10. I’m always happy to hear about another black and white game being fixed up. You have most likely already figured it out but basically you need a crimper that does non insulated connectors, the extractor (you can make one yourself you just need a thin flat piece of metal to push the clip down) and the connectors themselves like the ones in the picture. I usually go to www.therealbobroberts.net for my parts. You can find stuff a little cheaper elsewhere and he only accepts checks or mony orders but I’ve been using him for years now and he's a good guy.
  11. Well all but one of what I'm bring will be B&W. Let's see as it stands right now I'm planning on bring Stunt Cycle, Night Driver (cockpit), Super Bug, Guided Missle, Blue Shark, Atari Football, Sea Wolf, Rip Off, Armour Attack, Sprint2, Jet Fighter, Pin Pong, Stargate and Drag Race. When you get there ask one of the vid techs for me they should be able to find me i'll be around. I'd be cool to put a face to the name. Sorry Simbalion, I didn't mean to hijack your thread.
  12. Thanks guys for the welcome. No the Basketball will not be going but Atari Football will be there. Basketball was there last year and I had to draw the line somewhere. I'm planing on bring 14 games and 2 megatouches to the show this year.
  13. So I measured mine last night and it was basically 30"x30"x71". I actually came out to be: width 29-7/8", depth with coin door ~30" and height 70-3/4"
