Do what I do. If a used video game store dosen't carry Atari 2600 games, ask for them every time you visit...if they don't make the connection that the same person is asking over and over again, they might think there is a better demand for the games. On the same token, if they are overpricing the games, repeatedly offer to pay a lower price.

I walked into the living room, where my wife was watching VH1's Driven featuring the Dixie Chicks, and they were interviewing family members talking about the bend member Natalie, beating her sister over the head with an Atari joystick. They were also showing screenshots of Bezerk while the interview was going on. Ahh...good ole' Atari-related violence.

You are kinda bitter about DD, aren't you? Double Dragon is one of my fav NES/ Arcade games, and once I get some moves down, I think I am going to really enjoy the challenge of the 2600 version.

I would say it's because we, as a community, have moderated this guy pretty well ourselves. I think the Admins here have done an awesome job closing threads before things have gotten out of hand, without keeping people from expressing themselves on the matter. If Flexured wants to keep posting on this board, it's at his own risk.

I restarted my collection 3 years ago and I have about 160 different games. I don't collect label variations, or clones, and I an indifferent about the value of my collection. I am a player, and I just want the programs to play. I have not bought a single cart from ebay yet, I would rather hunt for them in fleas and thrifts, or trade for them, so that I won't spend too much money on my collection. You gotta wonder if the writers were just lazy. They were gathered around writing the pilot episode, thinking for another word for crass (or something), and they just said "Nuts with this!" and just SMURFED everything and went home.

Judging by what I have traded them for... a 4 to 5 rarity is what I would guesstimate too.

The rarity list I was using at the time was http://www.videogames.org/html/2600Stuff/2...00vgrlist.shtml. Under "Cooper Black" was this: My River Raid carts aren't on the list that followed, but the keeper of this list said he considered all Cooper Blacks as ER. However, from what I gather from the collectors here, the rarity of these carts are not for certain.

Where'd I get them? I went to a Hamfest (Radio Swap Meet) and some guy had a box full, and he was selling them as 8-tracks. I bought one because I wasn't sure of the rarity. I went to a site that said they were very rare, so I tracked this guy down and bought the rest...all boxed. I have traded a couple, and I have given away a few. P.S. The site that said they were rare was Greg Chance's www.videogames.org (which has since changed hands). I am not sure the rarity list that Greg had is still up there, or not.
