  1. I also have a 2.60 PSP and i tried this new eloader and it works great ive got the plynx,dgen.070,nesterj,and an snes emulator to work all you need is the PSP and GTA LCS UMD. so finally i can have all the fun the people that werent as zealous as i was to upgrade my PSP with all the Homebrew stuff .. note there is some stuff that wont work still but a good portion is working fine !
  2. Hi, Check best electgronics they are probably the best source of Atari parts that i know of according to their catalog they have both chips c302284, vc5139 suzy 44pin PLCC $20 c301719 vc5138 mickey hayato 68 pin PLCC $24 their site is www.best-electronics-ca.com
  3. on your PAG-0300 does it have the the FCC etc Info in the box below the model # ? if the PAG-0300 is the early one it seems wierd that the IC's used on the old ones is a newer technology than the later ones....
  4. Hmm well that seems like it blows my non US idea! any body else have the PAG-0300 model lynx?
  5. I was wondering the same thing my Sears Heavy Sixer came with the same paddles. they say SEARS then have the tennis racket icon. i would think they are rarer than the standard atari ones since there were less Sears Systems produced..
  6. i cracked the top of my Sears Heavy Sixer #83987S it has to following tags on the shielding... Register tape: 99 36300010. # Green Label 218160 but it did not have any rev printing on it it took the board out of the shielding and nothin no where !
  7. 83987S NTSC Sears Heavy Sixer (Has Sears Recondition label and Sears no servicable parts inside label No channel Select switch Sunnvale CA Manufactured Atari Light sixer no SN but has Speaker holes
  8. Hey everyone i was wondering if anybody has ran into this i have a couple of Lynx 2's and they have different model numbers .. the reason why this caught my attention is that one of them does not have FCC/US Patent text below the model # and its got PAG-0300 for the model number the other one a PAG-0401 has all the FCC/Patent info Lynx 2 PAG-0300 has no FCC/Patent info stamped below it PAG-0401 Has the normal FCC/Patent Info Anybody seen this .. is it a US to non us model? or is it a factory defect?
  9. just a couple of notes on peoples different cleaning technique... knifes, razors etc are not a good idea on connector pins these Pads are very thin and if you nick these or do this too often you will destroy the pad rendering the game useless unless you have the means of repairing the pads.. pulling them apart and use a eraser to clean the pads this both cleans them and polishes the oxidation off of them. Alcohol: is probably the safest thing to use on electronics it is the one main chemical use during the manufacturing process for circuit board assembly. second safe thing would be acetone if your careful. wiping the circuit board with something other than alcohol /water can react with the flux/Solder and circuit board pads/barrels causing corrosion etc. Sand Paper: be cautious when using sand paper on connectors if you have to use 800 grit i would also use something like 1200 after using the 800. to these connectors 800 is pretty coarse and if you leave the connector with only being sanded at 800 they will make scratches and greatly shorten the life of the cartridge. eg using 800 grit sandpaper on the cartridge fingers. Also remember Paper/cardboard eg wipes/ paper towels, qtips are all static sources so they can hurt the circuits of a cartridge/console ive know this because i have spen the last 8 years working in a circuit board manufacturing plant . building Motherboards and telecommunication boards to Networking systems boards. im talking brand new circuit boards . im not doing this to put any one down im doing this so your systems will give you many years of dependable service.. ! As for the outside shell i use this stuff called plexus.. its used on motorcycles and their plastic/ metal parts and also their plastic windshields it cleans the plastic and then protects it .. look into it and it wont leave the greasy film..
  10. I have had a GG for years and only recently have i aquired a lynx and i would have to say i like the Lynx better. i think the screen and the controls are better for me than the GG.. you can only play fighting games and sonic so much til you get bored of them. Another thing i like is that to the general public they have never heard of a lynx unlike the Game Gear or the truly popular Gameboy
  11. yes i have tried a different screen and with using the a known working screen i still get the garbled lines. what makes it impossible to fix? no availiability of parts ? do you know which IC is the LCD Controller? i have the means to remove the part and the training to replace any type of part on that board.
  12. Ok our resident specialist i have a problem with a Lynx i just picked up. When i power it up the screen lights up and the sounds play but the screen has garbled thick lines on it. i have tried 3 different (cleaned) cartridges and another screen that is known to be good i have cleaned the game connector reflowed the cartridge, LCD connector and inspected the solder joints.with nothing as of yet.. anybody seen this problem before and or ideas? anything would help. Thanks
