  1. I never played much River Raid but since picking up a 2600+ and a copy of it I've become addicted. What an awesome game.
  2. Still kicking myself for not grabbing all the great 7800 homebrews. Of course, I had no idea I’d end up with a 2600+ at the time.
  3. Man if they released a 5200 adapter and maybe some new controllers...
  4. It comes with two types of pads...one that you can screw in a thumb stick like the euro pad and another that is more like the NES d-pad. I tried both and in the end chose the NES style d-pad. It's a great controller.
  5. Works fine. It's what I use on my 2600+. Awesome controller.
  6. 7800 Rikki and Vikki no doubt. Also, maybe hire PacManPlus to do some 7800 games. He’s one of the most talented programmers around.
  7. No original hardware to test on. I’m sure I can get another copy fairly cheaply. Just happy the others worked, especially Pitfall!. That was the game my son wanted the most.
  8. It feels pretty solid and doesn’t feel loose. No big loss honestly as it only cost a couple of bucks. I may take it apart eventually and see what’s up.
  9. Just hooked it up and went through my carts (all are NTSC). Gave each one a good cleaning before trying it out. Demon Attack - worked Space Invaders - worked Ms. Pac-Man (7800) - worked Food Fight (7800) - worked Pole Position II (7800) - worked Pitfall! - worked Astroblast - failed Astroblast failed to load the first time. Removed and cleaned again and this time it loaded but would not start. Multiple tries failed to get it to run correctly. Could never start a game no matter what controller I used or how many times I tried resetting. Not sure if it’s a problem with my particular cart or a problem with game compatibility itself. My RetroGameBoyz pad worked perfectly with 2600 and 7800 games. The included 2600 stick felt pretty stiff but otherwise reminded me of the original. All in all I am impressed.
  10. Bought it online from here... https://retrogameboyz.com/products/copy-of-atari-7800-controller-2600-joystick-control-pad-gamepad-rainbow?variant=39309806665783
  11. Mine will arrive Tuesday, which will give me a chance to try out all the carts I purchased and make sure they work before wrapping everything for Christmas. I should probably just clean them with a little alcohol before trying them out.
  12. Picked up some used 2600/7800 games at a local shop, in addition to ordering a 7800 gamepad. I'm a network engineer and work remotely from home so I'll probably unbox the 2600+ and make sure everything works before boxing it up for my son's Christmas present.
  13. Just picked up a 7800 game pad from RetroGameBoyz. Looking forward to trying it out when the 2600+ is released.
  14. Copy found locally of all places.
