  1. Quake. I know some would prefer something original or retro but I just wanna be able to say I played Quake on my Jag dammit.
  2. Wow, I must really be out of the loop - I'm surprised the thread hasn't degenerated into a long-winded Battlesphere bit** fest! Cheers gang!
  3. "CONGRATURATION! YOU SUCCESS! A WINNER IS YOU! BUT OUR GIRAFFE IS IN ANOTHER CASTLE!" Pure Minter.
  4. The music seems out of place for the game it's in, but I absolutely love it anyway. (It's actually my favorite aspect of the game - but then, I'm weird like that.) Bill, your avatar is hilarious. Had me doing a double, then triple-take.
  5. You can see how the Jag has better color and some more detail than the other two. The Genny version suffers from a weaker color pallet, and it really shows here. I'd like to see how the 32X version looks. Tempest 32x version
  6. Heh, I've heard people claim Jaguar is 16-, 24-, and 32-bit, but never 56! My encounters with Jag-bashers have been minimal at best. I do remember one time playing Iron Soldier, and a friend of my brother's told me it looked like Super NES.
  7. doctorclu, you're beginning to frighten me. After finding a screenshot of Bubsy 3D, I can totally see it on the Jaguar. Probably wouldn't have turned out any worse than the Playstation version, and if nothing else would have given the Jag its first and only 3D platformer.
  8. I actually like BUSBy. You've got references to USB, a Bus, and a play on spelling for a Jaguar game featuring a cat. Hmmm...CommuniCAT (*cringes*)
  9. I hadn't thought of that. That would indeed be cool, and at least more feasible than cramming a Jag in there.
  10. Thanks for the input justclaws! In retrospect, I agree that relocating the cartridge slot like you said would look better.
  11. Yeah, the Jag/Lynx scene isn't exactly hopping down here. And might I say you have a lovely home!
  12. I don't see the problem. Of course I've held a regular Jag controller, although this is based off the Pro controller. Holding a real one, my hands never get in the way of the keypad. It's an unconventional design to be sure, but all I really wanted to do was see what it would look like to swap the number pad area for a screen. lol, sorry to disappoint you... ntavio: I referenced that portable Jag in my original post as well.
  13. (I guess this thread can officially be part one) Despite the fact that cramming the guts of a Jag into a shell about the size of a Pro Controller would be all sorts of impossible (hence), I just couldn't leave well enough alone. Stereo speakers, repositioned number keys, backlight button, and hey, the B button now has a nipple grip because...well, just because! TV-out and Player 2 joystick port would also be standard. I'm not too sure about attaching the CD unit, but at least you'd get a decent sun visor out of it.
  14. £2.00?! Lucky you. I bought Skyhammer directly from Carl Forhan - out of his basement, no less - for 80 bones like five years ago (we live in the same city).
  15. Don't worry - my modding is strictly limited to the virtual realm.
