Hey,
I'm attempting to learn Atari BASIC with an Atari 130XE. I've started by reviewing the User's Guidebook. I would've waited a bit longer to put fourth a question, but I'm too curious:
I read in the book there are two programming modes: immediate mode and indirect mode. Indirect mode, I understand. It would specifically laying out a command in BASIC. Immediate, judging by their example, is a simpler version of programming. It would seem to require less meticulous commands. Is this mode meant for someone who is not versed in programming, like me? If so, I imagine one of its drawbacks are that it can get quite limited as to what you can do with it or how precise things can be. If I understand this immediate mode correctly, does it need to be activated somehow or is it simply something the exists in the interpreter program where I'd do my indirect mode programming?
Thanks in advance!
