Could it be because the directory is in a different location on a CP/M disk as opposed to an EOS disk? Just tossing out an idea. That would certainly destroy the disk if a CP/M directory was being written back to the EOS directory location when you write something to the disk. All this stuff is mostly above my pay grade so I probably have no idea what I'm talking about.
