  1. Hey Joe, You can pick an adaptor from either of the retro stores listed in the links. Atari2600.com or 4Jays.net has them. It all depends if you want to drop the $$$ for it. GO BOSOX!!! I love those "Idiots" Davey Wells is back and pitchin' on Friday!!!
  2. Just a shout out to all the 5200 fans out there who have dusted off their "SuperSystem" and are looking for games to play. I didn't have a complete library back in 1983, but I bought one of these from Steve to play the collection. I didn't feel like buying individual carts from E-Bay or some of the retrogame stores, but I am extremely happy with this purchase. I plug this cart in every night and play until the early hours in the morning. This is definitely a great deal, grab one of these while you have the opportunity! Thanks again, Steve!
  3. Stellar Track. Yeah, I know it got a bum rap, but I enjoy it now for the strategy in tracking down the enemy starships. When I was young and foolish, I just wanted to BLOW EVERYTHING to pieces, i.e. Yars Revenge, Combat, Missile Command, Berzerk This game definitely tried my patience back in 1981.
  4. Man I can't watch ANY of the reality TV junk. That's why I'm either glued to my computer or kickin' back with retro games on my 5200.
  5. I think that there is a site dedicated to Sam and Max and anything related. Try this spot: http://www.samandmax.net/ Man, I'm still fuming at LucasArts for pulling the plug on Freelance Police.
  6. If you need help on cleaning up the TrakBall controller, here's a guide for you. http://cafeman.www9.50megs.com/atari/5200trak-ball.html
  7. Agreed. I can only conjour up memories of those awesome coin-ops that Atari was famous for. Centipede, Tempest, Missile Command, Pole Position, and Food Fight were all great fun to waste my quarters on. I guess the only thing that comes to mind when the "Atari" name is mentioned is the "Mt Fuji" or three-bar "Pong" logo. The other companies like Sony, Sega, and Nintendo really don't have such a recognizable symbol without using the company name in my opinion. You show just the Atari logo and everyone who is a video game fan knows it. Wow! Yeah DG, Pujols can hit anything and LaRussa is a genius! The new Busch Stadium is awsome, got to go to opening day! Cardinal RedBird Machine!
  8. Hope that your problem is just with those joysticks. I dusted my console off this March, and couldn't get any of my games from my 5200 collection to run. The guide presented in this forum helped TREMENDOUSLY. I was able to head out to Target get the double-sided tape, the aluminum tape, the alcohol, and cotton swabs for around $10. After about an hour of care and cleaning, I was able to get both of the sticks functioning properly. I'm now a happy camper and look forward to getting into the homebrews like Beef Drop and Adventure II! South Jersey? Toms River in da house!
