This is Combat, in all it's glory. Nothing is changed as far as graphics and game play go.
But this now has a several minute long sound track that's awesome.
If you love Combat, but are tired of the dull void background noise other than the tanks/planes moving, and shooting, this will be a great addition to your collection.
The sound effects of everything have been removed however, though that is understandable, considering the music is created with BG noise samples.
Over all, this is a great addition, even if you have your dozen or so copies of the original. Hey, it's only $15, what are you going to do?
Combat Rock was an interesting experiment by Paul Slocum (creator of the Synthcart) to see if he could add background music to an existing 2600 game. His first victim was Atari's Combat! While you play the game, you're treated to a rendition of "Rock the Casbah" by the Clash.
