Adventure II |
Atari 5200 |
Adventure II is the much-anticipated, unofficial sequel to Atari's classic Adventure on the 2600. As the game is being written for the Atari 5200, it will be larger and more detailed than the original, while still remaining faithful to the traits that made the classic Adventure memorable even after 25 years. AtariAge will have a new demo of Adventure II at PhillyClassic 5, representing the game at a much closer state of completion than previously shown. Adventure II will be released this spring with a professionally printed box, manual and label. You can learn more about Adventure II by visiting Ron Lloyd's Adventure II Development Page. Ron Lloyd will be attending PhillyClassic 5, so you'll be able to ask him questions about the game and get some insight firsthand! |

Homestar Runner RPG |
Atari 2600 |
Paul Slocum (Marble Craze, Synthcart) has announced that his new Atari 2600 project will be a role playing game mixed with the characters from Homestar Runner. This will be the first in-depth RPG on the Atari 2600, and will be comparable to early computer based RPGs. But the absurd scenarios and dumb fairy-tale characters will be replaced with true-to-life stories and much more believable characters from the popular Homestar Runner crew. Mike and Matt Chapman (creators of Homestar Runner) will be contributing story, graphics, and creative ideas to the game.
Current plans are for Homestar Runner to be released in cartridge form this May. You can learn more about the Homestar Runner RPG at Qotile.net. |
