Standard GRAM FILES

Five years ago (1991) I was busy with GRAM files and GRAM systems. Then
I documented very little, because a hobbyist naturally does everything he can
head. Well after five years you have completely forgotten that. Hence this
piece, how are you again ..
.
The idea is that only one type of GRAM-FILE is used in connection with it.
exchanging diskettes from other hobbyists and not every time
manually have to convert to the correct header of the relevant one
GRAM SYSTEM.
.
The file format that I think is the most used is that of the
GRAM-KRACKER and GRAMULATOR (for the structure of this header I refer to the
file * HEADERS from E.P. Rebel that is also on the diskette) ..
Another reason for this type of file format is that these files are used immediately
could be for the TI-EMULATOR (from Edward Schwartz, V9T9 v6.0, so the
TI-99 / 4a emulated on the PC) ..

Of course I didn't have such a GRAMULATOR but a GRAM-KARTE (also called GRAM-CARD)
, which is installed in the Expansion Box) and of which the file header
again just something else ..
Then I made a diskette with all kinds of tools on it ..

With the help of the GRAM-KARTE I then read out the GRAMULATOR, so what the.
loader is for all GRAM-FILES ..

How does this work:.
.
1. Go to the GRAM-KARTE menu (ie the GRAM-LOADER).
2. Choose option 7, address is 9800, and type DSK1.GCGMLOAD.
   This file loads the file GCGMULATR0 in RAM 0 ..
3. When the file is loaded, go to the title screen (FCNT- =).
4. Then select GRAMULATOR.
5. Then choose option 1 load file.
6. INITIALIZE: N.
7. Then specify the GRAM-FILE, such as DSK2.STARTREK.
8. Then the files STARTREK STARTREK1 STARTREK2 become as follows.
   loaded in the relevant GRAMs and RAMs.
9. Go to the title screen and choose STARTREK from the menu.

Tips:
-----.
- Insert the GRAMSYSTEM disk into disk drive 1 and use disk drive 2 for all
  GRAM FILES ..
- If the GRAM-KARTE 9800 option has disappeared from the menu, choose TIBAS and
  type CALL GRAM (you then enter the GRAMKARTE menu).
- Sometimes the program name does not end up in the menu.
  then you first have to load the file NOREVLOAD in the GRAM-KARTE, so.
  option 7 of the GRAM-KARTE menu, then address 9800, then DsK1.NOREVLOAD and the same
  then DSK1.GCGMLOAD, then back to the title screen.
- Some GRAM FILES want RAM WRITE PROTECTED, this should be as follows :.
  load GCONTROLG7 with option 7 in GRAM-KARTE menu DSK1.LOADGCON.
  Then load DSK1.GCGMLOAD, then to the title screen, then via.
  Load the GRAMULATOR file (eg DSK2.MUNCHMN2 /), then to the title screen.
  then to the GRAM CONTROL menu, then select RAM WRITE DISABLE, then to the.
  title screen, then choose MUNCHMAN II ..

- If you want to load all systems every time, it is best to order this order
  hold :.
  - DSK1.NOREVLOAD (for loading NO REVIEW LIBRARY, purple screen !!).
  - DSK1.GCGMLOAD (for loading the GRAMULATOR).
  - DSK1.LOADGCON (for loading GRAM-CARD CONTROL).

Issues:.
----------.
Some GRAM-FILES want to load programs into RAM 0 and RAM 1, these modules
often swap 8 K RAM (so change from 8 K RAM to the same every time
memory address).
- Extended Basic is such an example, it can work on the normal one
way to crack this module in the GRAM-KART, but I still have Extended Basic
did not get talking via the GRAMULATOR way ..
- Extended Basic II (Apesoft) therefore not.
- The Extended Basic modules swap 4 k, but there are also modules that 8 K
  swapping and not working with the GRAM-KARTE at all ..
- Usually the ATARI modules do not work such as: PACMAN, DONKEY KONG,
  DIG DUG, SHAMUS, etc ..

If there is someone who can make these types of modules (8 K) swapping work with
the GRAM-KARTE then I would like to know that ..

Of course you can also do this process the other way around, so for example a file from
load the GRAM-KARTE type via the GRAMULATOR, so for example with DSK1.GMGKSYST.

The abbreviations used on the disk mean :.
