No doubt thanks to all of the hard work he puts into AtariAge, and his upcoming attendance at the Portland Retro Gaming Expo, he is this week's App of the week!
Download him now, while he's still free!
Coming in 2013, from the makers of Robot Chicken...

What's particularly cool, is that even though Robot Chicken's Star Wars specials were done with the permission of Lucasfilm, this is being created by Lucasfilm.

So yesterday finally brought the long-awaited return of Star Wars... in HD!
Yep, that's right! Season 4 of The Clone Wars debuted on Cartoon Network!
What?
You were expecting a write-up on some other "Star Wars in HD" event that took place Friday?
I can't imagine what that would be...
Anyway, season 4 started off with a two-parter, Water War and Gungan Attack. In the first episode, there was a war under water, and in the second one... well, I don't want to spoil

I'm originally from Seattle, and will always consider it home. So I was saddened to read about the passing of a Seattle icon - J.P. Patches.
J.P. (actually Chris Wedes) was a staple on Seattle-area TV from 1958 to 1981, hosting a locally produced live kids' TV show. What made J.P. a Seattle icon was that his show was actually funny. Sure, he was dressed as a clown, who are almost never funny (see: Bozo, Ronald McDonald, etc.), but this show was different. It was full of goofy characters (J.P
I pick up MLB.com At Bat for my iPhone pretty much every year. For those unaware, it lets you access standings, scores, stats, and news about your favorite baseball team, lets you listen to every game live, watch video highlights, and follow along with a neat little graphical app. You even get to pick your home radio station to listen to. For those of us living in an entirely different state than our home team, this is a very cool thing. The cost works out to less than a dime per game.

Currently, it's 11:41 PM, and I'm sitting in a movie theater, waiting for the first showing of Brave. Now, I'm not usually enough of a movie nut to go on opening night (or in this case - opening morning since the movie starts at 12:05 AM), but 1) I was bored and 2) I've learned not to go see Pixar films during the day, because parents tend to take their kids to those showings. I'm talking kids in strollers. Crying. Not how I want to spend my movie going hours.
Usually this late, there are ve
Believe it or not... this entry includes my 60th Homebreview! To mark the occasion, I'm reviewing a couple of games that were released at the Classic Gaming Expo this summer. The ROMs aren't available, so I've posted movies of them, to show you what they're really like (sorry about the quality - they were shot off of a TV screen).
Actually, I would have rather reviewed a really good game instead, but these are the last two unreviewed games that I've got. So there you go.

Pro golfers are complaining that the 16th hole at the U.S. Open is too long at 670 yards. I have a solution for this problem.
Dear pro golfers,
I hate to be the one to break the news to you... but you are getting paid millions of dollars to play golf.
Shut up, go play your game, collect your massive paychecks, and stop whining about it.
Sincerely,
Everyone in the world who will work their entire lives and never make as much money as you will this weekend
Update: The domain info is now fixed! To be fair, the IT people where I work are desperately over-worked and under-staffed. Sure, it's annoying when something gets messed up, but they've been pretty good to me about fixing things when that happens. I didn't expect anything until next week, since they're off Fridays during the Summer months. So you can ignore most of the snarky comments in this entry...

Or he could buy a Star Trek pizza cutter. And a pizza.
But for those (like me) who dug the first two installments of Carmageddon, here's a link to their Kickstarter page.

Well, I just wrapped up the end-of-year shows for the Character Animation Program at CalArts. Again.
For the 18th year in a row.
And I feel like I've been sleep-deprived for 18 straight years, although it's really only been 3 1/2 weeks. But it's been a long 3 1/2 weeks, with no weekends off, a bunch of 12-hour days, and at least a couple of 18-hour ones thrown in for good measure.
I stayed home today, and mostly slept.
Our full show (the Open Show) was on April 28th, was about 6
In this film, an old, fat, bearded Jeff Bridges mumbles his way through a script that at times is largely incoherent.
Oh wait... I think that was supposed to be part of my Tron: Legacy review.
I went out and saw True Grit today. Being a fan of the original (with John Wayne) I half-expected to sit there through the whole film thinking, "That's not how John Wayne spoke that dialogue." And while such comparisons are inevitable, this new True Grit does stand on its own, and manages to carve

Sounds like typical Disney fare, right? Where you have a girl with hopes and dreams, but has to break free of society's conventions and expectations of her to find true freedom and happiness. And probably some dude to hook up with.
But then watch
So I'm at an Apple Store right now, checking out the latest tech, and in hindsight, it probably wasn't the best idea to put the store so close to a Five Guys Burgers 'n' Fries... 'cause man, I'm gettin' this iPad screen greasy!
