Here's my latest haul from the AtariAge store. Not sure I'll review the two Atari prototypes or not, since they're no longer in the store, but thanks to Albert for making those available one last time.
After this last batch, there aren't very many games left in the AtariAge store that I don't have.
Several of these aren't even "games", as such:
Amiga Boing! Demo 2.0
Backfire
Crazy Valet
Dark Mage
E.T. Book Cart
Euchre
GoSub
INV+
Mental Kombat
Okie Dokie
Now it's the 2600's turn for some arcade action! But the ol' gal has some new tricks up her sleeve, even though two of these games have been on the 2600 in one form or other for over 35 years. And yes... I copy-pasted some of my Scramble review from the 7800 version. Nice to see you're paying attention. I probably need to make my reviews a little more succinct though. My review for Pac-Man 4K is actually larger than 4K. Pac-Man 4K I probably shouldn't have to describe Pac-Man any more
Stay tuned for the senses-shattering conclusion to "Sweeps Week" in Artie's first-ever Sunday Spectacular!!
That would be on Sunday.
In case you were wondering.

I just got my latest haul from AtariAge, which means it will soon be time for... more Homebreviews!
A lot of them.
I'm also going to write reviews for a few things not shown here, just to have a complete set of reviews for everything I've gotten from AtariAge.
First though... it looks like I'm going to have to dust off my 7800.
These showed up yesterday: Yeah... I know. Now I'm even further behind with my reviews. But it is nice to finally get my hands on some of the games I worked on. (I didn't have anything to do with Epic Adventure. But it's on my list of games to review.)
All of the image links in my bloke are broggen.
Well, you know what I mean.
Anyway, this is because as of this morning, they changed the DNS lookup at work, so it's no longer resolving to the server where all my stuff is kept.
They still haven't sent out the e-mail telling us they're going to do this yet, either. To me, this should qualify for the "a good thing to know ahead of time" category.
Anyway, so I'm still trying to figure out the best way to deal with this. The easiest t
Twenty-six years, two months, and five days.
That's how long I've been waiting to post this blog entry!
Actually, back then, I didn't even know I'd have a blog now. Or what a blog was. Or would be.
The point is, I've been waiting for this particular day for that long.
"Why," you ask?
Y'see... back in 1982, Intellivision released the game Star Strike, along with a now-infamous commercial...

Nearly 10 years ago, on October 1st, 2005, I posted my first blog entry. And despite 580 entries since then, they haven't gotten any better. But hey - 10 years! So to celebrate, and to fill up some space, I'll be posting an exclusive, first-ever, multi-part interview with a retro-gaming legend. Seriously. A literal legend. Keep an eye out for the first installment on Monday. Probably late Monday. Pacific Standard Time. And to all of you who have been faithfully reading this blog for
The world of entertainment lost two legends this week...
Ricardo Montalban passed away at 88.
Patrick McGoohan passed away at 80.
To me, Ricardo Montalban will best be remembered as Khan. Coincidentally, I watched Star Trek II last night - it was showing in HD on U-Verse's "free preview" week - and I relished his performance. He was the only villain to really match Kirk's bravado. Space opera at its finest. Most articles today I've seen refer to his stint on Fantasy Island. Of course
This will probably be the last Artie strip for a little while. I've got another project that's been moved to the front burner, so to speak.
