How to Zoom in on Terraria (PS4)

I got PS4 gift card money for Christmas, so I bought a few Pinball games for Pinball Arcade and Terraria was only $2.99, so I grabbed that too. I had Terraria for the Xbox 360 and had no problems with it (except not liking all of the demon stuff), but this PS4 version is zoomed so far out that you can barely see the character you're supposed to control. I went Googling for the answer, but all I could find were tips about smearing your fingers on a 'touchpad.' I didn't know that my PS4 controll

Got a new computer from Best Buy (2019)

After my Windows 7 computer died in March of 2015, I got a Hewlett-Packard Windows 8.1 computer from Walmart: atariage.com/forums/topic/236241-array0-degraded-intel-rapid-storage-technology/ [HP Pavilion 500-223w Desktop PC with Intel Core i3-4130 Processor, 8GB Memory, 1TB Hard Drive and Windows 8.1] Avast screwed up my computer in May of 2018 and the PC magically healed itself, but it never quite acted right after that. I guess my free Avast subscription must have expired or som

Finished Wave 100 on Iron Brigade - Survival: Hospital (Solo)

Update: As of February 28, 2020, I'm still playing this game on my Xbox 360 (or my sister's Xbox One). The main thing I don't like about Iron Brigade is that it only has three survival missions where you can play for 100 waves. I wish the makers of the game would let us play any of the missions in survival mode. I would especially like the Village (in the Pacific) and Mars Landing to have survival modes. Those are my two favorite normal missions, but they are too short. If I could play 100 waves

Thanks to Amazon I can get back to work

Some time after 2007 (I don't remember what year), I was given a recliner. I wanted to use the recliner as a computer chair, so I took a leaf that wasn't being used from an old drop-leaf kitchen table, attached two pieces of wood to the sides that were a little taller than the arms of the recliner, then put casters on the bottom to make a rolling table. I put my computer keyboard and mouse on the rolling table and it worked great. I could have my feet up and use my computer (much better than a n

Taste Madea's Rainbow

Below is an inappropriate moment from Tyler Perry's Madea's Witness Protection.   Kid: "You're so huge, like a giant bag of Skittles."   Madea: "You better get the hell up or when I come back up in here, you know what's gonna happen? You're gonna ."  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t4ga4mtA39g     If Madea looks like a huge bag of Skittles and she's going to make the boy taste the rainbow if he doesn't get up, I'm pretty sure he'd rather get a spanking.         Visit my web s

Me and My Shadow (Peter Pan Records)

I had this record when I was 3 or 4 years old. The record below sounds a little warped or something, but it's still nice that someone posted this old memory at YouTube:   http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sd6S1a1Q5Ik&fmt=18 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sd6S1a1Q5Ik&rel=0&fmt=18&showinfo=0         Random Terrain _

How to Get Rid of the "Use Your Real Name" YouTube Popup

Sometimes that irritating popup has a link that will let you close it, but most of the time it's not there. If you're sick of that thing popping up almost every time you go to watch a video, all you need is the Firefox add-on Adblock Plus and the filter below. If you don't already have Adblock Plus, add it to Firefox, then add this custom filter:   ||s.ytimg.com/yts/jsbin/www-linkgplusdialog*   Once you add that filter, the "Use Your Real Name" YouTube Popup should be gone (at least until Yo

I finally know what 'sky squiggles' are!

I have been wondering since I was a kid about the hundreds or thousands of semi-invisible 'sky sperm' or 'sky tadpoles' or 'sky squiggles' that you see swimming around in front of your eyes if you stare at a bright blue sky. Some people will try to tell you that you are simply seeing floaters (what some might call 'sky amoebas' or 'sky worms') and that it couldn't possibly be anything else, but thanks to the Internet, I found out that it's called blue field entoptic phenomenon where you're seein

Control the Volume of Your DVR

Control the Volume of Your DVR   It might also work with other DVR remote controls, but specifically if you have a Scientific Atlanta Explorer 8300 DVR remote control (1056B01) from your cable company and you want to control the volume using the DVR, not your TV or any other device, here's how to do it.   First, open your general settings (usually by pressing the Settings button twice on your remote) and move down the list to Audio: Volume Ctrl. Change it to Variable (if it's already set to

Got my Magic Chef refrigerator

[This AtariAge blog setup is easier to use than other things I have tried, so I'm going to start using my AtariAge blog again.]     Merry early Christmas to me! Got my Magic Chef Refrigerator!   I got one of those small dorm room refrigerators back in 1989. Then I sold it and got a larger version (Goldstar GR-131OW) that had a small freezer inside of the refrigerator about a year later. I think it's probably 4.6 Cu. Ft. if you can go by the small refrigerators sold today. I just checked and

Fallout 3 Spoilers: Benefits of Blowing Up Megaton

By now anyone who wanted to play Fallout 3 probably has, but just in case, don't read this if you haven't played and hate spoilers. I've played through the main missions around 4 times now. I kept replaying to see what would happen when making different choices. This time I decided to blow up Megaton and live in the nicer Tenpenny Tower suite for a change. After blowing up Megaton, I visited the spot and Moira Brown was there without most of her skin, or maybe it was just extra crunchy. I th

The Mandela Effect: Home Alone

The Mandela Effect has been blamed on misremembering/confabulation and that's true when it comes to a lot of the stupid stuff you'll find out there. But there are instances where it seems like something has really changed. Some people say that we live in a holographic universe (that could have glitches or could be hacked by interdimensional aliens). Others say that each person can slip in and out of slightly different realities depending on the vibration that the person gives off based on his or

Wham-O Magic Window Found

The Wham-O Magic Window that I had was a thin clear plastic oval container filled mostly with white and blue sand-like material. It was kind of fun for limited amounts of time and I wanted to know the name of it, but I couldn't find anything about it since I couldn't remember the name of the 'toy' or the company that made it. We finally found it today. I read that Wham-O might make it again if they get enough requests.   Related links:   http://www.timewarptoys.com/toys.htm   http://en.w

Shigeru Miyamoto and Forced Time Travel

Shigeru Miyamoto and Forced Time Travel     Take a look at this article:   deserthat.wordpress.com/2009/11/26/game-design-the-miyamoto-way-flow-and-difficulty/     Here are a few excerpts from that article with my comments below each one:     Going back to the beginning of a level, or 5 levels back, or all the way back to the beginning is what ruined the fun in so many games. I fell on the ice and got temporary amnesia

I've only seen characters with amnesia on fictional TV shows and movies, but today I got to experience it for real. It took about 30 minutes to start remembering what happened, then I remembered even more within the next hour or two. Below is what happened to me this afternoon. (By the time I got around to finishing this, it was almost 1 in the morning Eastern time, so it actually happened yesterday.)   The street at the end of our driveway was still covered in ice today because trees across t

Whey looks like pus and smells like vomit

I read this back in the late 1980s, but it seems a lot of people still think that whey is a health food. Law & Order: Criminal Intent D'Onofrio lookalike

I watched Law & Order: Criminal Intent this morning and there was an actor on there, Michael Gladis (the guy who got punched in the face), who looks a lot like Vincent D'Onofrio. Windows Vista Sound Fix For CamStudio

I have a Windows Vista computer and the sound that the freeware program called CamStudio 2.5 records has a ton of static in it. I went Googling and found out that you could plug a cable into line-out/line-in and record that way, but it was a pain because if I left it plugged in, my computer wouldn't restart half of the time. Well, I tried the following tip and I can now record sound without using the line-out/line-in trick:   Windows Vista Sound Fix For CamStudio   http://camstudio.org/blog/

Lost 34 Pounds So Far

I went to the doctor yesterday and he said that I've lost 34 pounds since the last time I was there on May 29th. I had to make a special appointment yesterday because I had to stop taking shots and temporarily stop taking my pills for Type 2 Diabetes since my blood sugar kept dropping too low. He now has me on only one pill and I'll probably have to stop taking that one of these days as I lose more weight and eventually get rid of my Type 2 Diabetes.         Random Terrain __

How to skip the ads on a DVD

In case you don't already know, the crap at the beginning of a DVD is easy to skip. Instead of trying to use the skip or fast forward buttons to get past all of the ads, just press the stop button when the ads start to play. Once the DVD has stopped, hit the menu button and boom, you're at the main menu (ready to play the movie and the special features).   That may not work for every DVD out there, but it works with the ones I have tried.     Random Terrain _
