Atari acquires the Accolade titles, like ...   I'm going to start this off with a request of the Bubsy Fan Blog to come and post on this message that thinks there is only one Bubsy fan...   Let's shock and awe, and discuss what we think of Atari getting the Bubster back.   Yep, back.   Atari and Accolade have courted before, and Bubsy has stepped in and out of the Atari doors so much it is almost a revolving door.   Let us count the times, which admitively ar

Cruizin' Atariage - why the hell did I not buy this?!- April 2021

(Submitted by Doctor Clu)   So this was originally written in the "Why the hell did I not buy this?!" thread here on AtariAge. "a thread for items that you thought you would never need/want but looking back, you think you should have gotten it. "   Got many collections but Bubsy Bobcat is one of the few that I've tried to hunt down everything possible for and try to buy it.   Must admit, I like Bubsy collecting because I can afford the occasional thing tha

Cruizin' PXExtreme - The Gold X Award - September 2020

Meanwhile on the Officious Bubsy Discord Server, discussions continue, projects continue, and some time to time, some interesting facts are given.   We've known in the fandom that the Gold X award, believed to be made up by Accolade, was in fact a "true" award for the magazine, PXExtreme.   It is no surprise that there was in fact a tin through platinum award for the magazine.   We figured it would be great to document the various awards in a blog entry, and also whatever els

DeviantArt: SpongeFox

It gives me extreme pleasure to introduce to you one of the most crazy Bubsy fan artists I've yet to see on DeviantArt, SpongeFox. SpongeFox was gracious enough to let me repost the Bubsy art here, so long as I gave her credit, and no one else stole the work, so look and enjoy folks.   When asked about Bubsy SpongeFox said, "I've played Fractured Furry Tales on a Jaguar Emulator. Pretty hard btw. And as for my story line for the Twins, I figured they could be Woolies in disguise. I didn't lik

Cruiz'in VGM Music - April 2017 - The Bubsy Jukebox for the Genesis

(Yes yes, I know, this was written in January. What can I say? I'm kicking butt in some developments right now so knocking out stuff now to clear the books for when I go camping later)   So while trying to get a mod to play on the Sega Genesis (or more specifically my Sega Gopher portable) I came across the resource to give me hours and hours of jukebox fun... through VGM music. The VGM being the music resource type used most of the time on the Genesis.   They had the VGM files for the

Cruiz'in The Jaguar Game by Game podcast- June 2016

After a lot of work, two interviews with Michael Berlyn and Faran Thomason and all the questions submitted by the Bubsy Bobcat Fan Blog we now get a fresh perspective of the Bubsy game for the Atari Jaguar with Shinto!   I have been half way though this well put together two and half hour podcast and I am impressed by the information Shinto put together.   Here is the link to that podcast:   http://atarijaguargamebygame.libsyn.com/11-bubsy-in-fractured-furry-tales   Good work Shinto!

Cruiz'in Youtube- June 2016- Interview with Michael Berlyn

Hey all, we'll go ahead and post this a little early... presenting... the interview with Michael Berlyn the creator of Bubsy Bobcat!!!     SpongeFox and I had a blast talking to Michael as he talked about a few of his projects from OO Topos his earliest game, projects at Infocom (Infidel, Cutthroats, Fooblitzky, and Suspended) as well as his musical experience "Hot Mustard", and his latest addictive iOS game, Ogg.   And naturally lots and lots of behind the scenes on the creation of Bubs

Happy 23rd Birthday to Bubsy Bobcat!

Just a quick shout out to Bubsy Bobcat and congrats on his 23rd birthday!   Been an exciting year for Bubsy with the first two games re-released on the Steam platform this last year. Sponge Fox and I interviewed Michael Berlyn and Faran Thomason and we will have those interviews up shortly. Those interviews will also give some insight for the Bubsy episode on the Jaguar Game by Game Podcast.   ------------------------------------------------------   Speaking of which Bubsy fans, if you l

Cruiz'in ... no where!-February 2015- Bubsy Collection Updated

What I love about Bubsy as a game character is that there is just enough to make it where something appears for collecting every now and then, but not so much that it strains the budget.   It's been a fun collection. I was able to score the Bubsy shirt for the first game, and then a portable hole for Bubsy II. Picked up a lot of magazines talking about Bubsy. And of course I've missed a few things over time. The Bubsy mug, the Babbages Bubsy glasses, and the promo party flip flop.   Ho

Cruiz'in Atariage November 2012

Was Cruiz'in Atariage and found a new user who had been here a little over a month by the name of BubsyFan101. Always good to meet another Bubsy fan since we are a unique breed I think.   So while there is new material on the internet (which I will feature next month), allow me to draw your attention to some things going on here on Atariage. First off there is BubsyFan101's intro message:   http://www.atariage.com/forums/topic/203681-hello-from-bubsylandearth/     And a glitch tha

Cruiz'in AnimeFest September 2012

So I was at the AnimeFest 2012 in Dallas at the Sheridan and mind you I had just gotten done with my fourteen months in Kuwait.   So I had no real new costume to wear for the AnimeFest so I went as my default Bubsy Bobcat semi-cosplay. I had three people recognize me this time.   The funniest was the first one.   I was checking out a Anime art exhibit and the lady at the entry-way asked me "Are you supposed to Bubsy Bobcat?" and she asked with great enthusiasm.   "Why yes!"   "Bubsy

Some one finally sells a Bubsy shirt!

Check out this link to get a Bubsy shirt!   http://www.redbubble...5050646-1-bubsy     Update...   I was going to buy one of these, but found that if you buy four you get free shipping. So I might buy some in other styles, like...     The black POWER UP shirt!! That just looks cool. Might have to get several of those.       The Long sleeve shirt. This was a type of shirt that Bubsy wore in the poster that was found in Nintendo Magazine.     And the hoodie. Honestly, never

My Own Bubsy Art

I said in the new year that I would draw some Bubsy. As I learned from SpongeFox there are many ways to try drawing, such as pencil and ink, on various paint programs, etc. So here is my work on a Zaurus 5600 just doodling. Sure I have a ways to go, but fun all the same
