Originally featured here, but I did not see it there. Weird. The homemade Bubsy plush has sold though!
Bubsy Vs. Lester the Unlikely.
A fight that even the Bubsy haters let him win.

Hey truly amazing people who, like the Bubster, will never stop, no matter what is thrown at us (and sometimes that is a good way to get free stuff as one Popeye cartoon best illustrated), here are some cool pics I found of Bubsy as I was looking over the net:
Found this one at:

I always like Bubsy in challenging situations. That seems to be his way. To get stuck, but not neccessarily beaten. Here Bubsy is working through a problem
Thanks to Sponge Fox we have this great happy birthday greeting for Rob Paulsen... only 15 days late!
(Ooops! Sorry Rob)
It is funny how I believe it was around his birthday I popped in my copy of Animaniacs one night. Love that show but I hadn't watched that in ages. Oh wow that show is timeless. And naturally I watch the show listening to Yakko and thinking with a slight alteration in voice we have the Bubster.
I was looking at Rob's picture and he kinda resembles Yak
I like to post things in here from time to time to show the various merchandise that has existed for Bubsy. This current one the person has a opening bid requested of $711 (eh... not happening bud), however like always I am glad that this person has posted an image of a piece of Bubsy history that I was not aware of before.
... I got the Bubsy shirt, and had fun wearing it when I went to kareokee at the Plato Loco here in Dallas. I took this picture, and was starting to photoshop out things in the background when I just went whole hog and had fun with it:
Ironically tonight while wearing this shirt I sang "This Cats on A Hot Tin Roof"
(This is not me singing, but to let you know how the tune of this song goes...)

And was a smashing success.

So we've been having fun here on the Bubsy Bobcat Fan Blog with our tracking of fan art, music, news, speedruns, and lately the interviews with developers and producers that brought us Bubsy.
A friend of mine was inspired by that and decided to launch a similar blog for his favorite mascot, Crash Bandicoot. So here is the link, go give that new blog a warm welcome!

And to start this off, here i
When I originally started collecting Bubsy Art, I found that most of the art out there was Sponge Fox, and never would have imagined I'd have fun talking about some ideas of Bubsy art and various tinkering with concepts.
So first off the latest artwork. This is Bubsy with Bonkers with his niece and nephew. I thought it captured the characters well.
The next two were done in fun tinkering with what Bubsy would do if bored. Sponge Fox wants you to know this is not some kind of inflati
As previously mentioned, we took questions for Faran Thomason (Producer of the Atari Jaguar game of Bubsy) for an interview, and FINALLY we have the interview on Youtube! He was a lot of fun to talk to and hopefully we'll cover other Atari Jaguar games in the future.
Here is the complete picture that SpongeFox drew while we were interviewing him.
Coming up, the interview with Michael Berlyn. Stay tuned!
Thoughout the internet I have found a good array of Bubsy pictures. Some of them were interesting combinations of Bubsy and another character (like the Bubsy/Cloud picture or the Bubsy punk idea). One thing I definately have to say, everyone sees Bubsy differently, and when you have a orange Bobcat with only a white shirt with an "!" on it, you can see here you can have a LOT of creative variance.
Many of these I don't know where they came from, but would love to talk to the artist if you k
Ok, a little game.... pick up GAME FAN MAGAZINE #4 currently on stands right now and you will see in the Game Fan Magazine video game collection a BUBSY PLUSHIE!!
Maybe in a few months I might post a scan of it, but I like Game Fan a lot (since they have featured Jaguar stuff in there like ten years ago long after the Jaguar was huge) so go out and own this fine video game magazine and see the rare Bubsy plushie long before I post it here.
In the meantime, I had a B
Will you look at this!! I asked Sponge Fox for a picture of Bubsy with goggles. Why? Well in Bubsy 1 when he would ride the roller coaster he would wear the goggles. It was a nice look for him.
Sponge Fox took it a step further adding another cool element of Bubsy, side slinging the Ballzooka that he used in Bubsy 2, and then for fun, added the fingerless gloves.
All and all, this to me is the most awesome picture of Bubsy I have seen yet. Thanks Sponge Fox for helping Bubsy evo
This was such cool news I had to post it now. Bubsy has been hacked into Sonic 2.
This is too funny. Check it out on this You Tube video:
And more discussion of it here:

Looks like they exaggerate the falling damage and just let him die a lot. But still want to see if I can play this. I have often thought hacking Bubsy into Zool on the Jaguar would also be fun.
If you try this hack let us k
Today is release day (10 am PST, or 12 pm CST for us here in Texas) for the new Bubsy game.. The Woolies Strike Back. Of course for myself, SpongeFox, Robert R, Gold Leader, Jinroh, and other Bubsy fans over the years, this day is also... HALLOWEEN!!!
Hahah... Latest fan art from SpongeFox who has contributed Bubsy art over the years, and who doodled art while we talked to Michael Berlyn and Faran Thomason a while back.
So this is it folks, the release day for the new Bubsy gam
We have a new Bubsy fan game being made!
https://talic.itch.io/bubsy-in-a-pawtaform
Click on the "Player 1" to start. Arrow keys for moving left and right. X is jump, Up with X is glide. And X with down arrow is for going down through platforms.
Woolies can be hit with more variety from the front, and top, rather than just a few places on top. Nice change.

Hello Bubsy fans! We are through a busy holiday season spent with friends and family, and now I turn to give some love to our favorite Bobcat!
I will confess, I was spending a lot of the last month playing and giving input on the recently released Star Raiders 2 for the Atari 8-bit computers. Star Raiders is a love of mine from WAYYY back. Also helped contribute sound for the ST ports to the Atari Jaguar of Moon Patrol and Joust. Glad I could contribute something in bringing those r
What I love about Bubsy as a game character is that there is just enough to make it where something appears for collecting every now and then, but not so much that it strains the budget.
It's been a fun collection. I was able to score the Bubsy shirt for the first game, and then a portable hole for Bubsy II. Picked up a lot of magazines talking about Bubsy. And of course I've missed a few things over time. The Bubsy mug, the Babbages Bubsy glasses, and the promo party flip flop.
Ho
It gives me extreme pleasure to introduce to you one of the most crazy Bubsy fan artists I've yet to see on DeviantArt, SpongeFox. SpongeFox was gracious enough to let me repost the Bubsy art here, so long as I gave her credit, and no one else stole the work, so look and enjoy folks.
When asked about Bubsy SpongeFox said, "I've played Fractured Furry Tales on a Jaguar Emulator. Pretty hard btw. And as for my story line for the Twins, I figured they could be Woolies in disguise. I didn't lik
So for a while I've had this yellow cat that I've had in mind to look more Bubsy like. It was the place I stored my Bubsy kit cap.
Some orange spray paint was passed my way, I tried it out on the yellow cat, and liked it and went to work....
Looks better with the hat...
And decided till I can make a better one, how about the green exclamation mark from the second player Bubsy made with the same frog tape I used to cover the face during the painting. Made for a nice touch. Add
So having recently found the Bubsy "Portable Hole" (information coming soon on that) it made me wonder, what else is out there? And this got me to thinking what have I missed lately on Ebay?
So I searched the completed auctions on Ebay, and I have to admit, this mug was pretty cool:
Now that is not the best part. Check this out...
The lucky bastage paid twice as much for shipping as he did for the actual mug. I love it!
Also on E-Bay was the third sighting (for m
While cruising ebay today, that place where I like to buy things but mostly see many pictures of things I like I saw the first evidence of the Bubsy 2 T-Shirt promotion.
But to catch us up, the search for the Bubsy T-Shirt has been a great search. Granted there have been at least three companies that have made some Bubsy themed shirt. And you know, I even bought one from theyetee.com. But there is nothing like having the shirt from back in the day.
So here is a quick tim
Bubsy made a lot of appearances in magazines, here are some of those.

So some fun events happening as Bubsy continues to build support in the kickstarter for more features in Bubsy: Paws on Fire (to be released in April).
Here are the tweets: (This has been revised as of the morning of February 10th)
In the kickstarter video one viewer was able to translate the binary code shown...
Also apparently in the initial kickstarter video Bubsy was rated "M" for Mature which sparked a lot of talk for a few days:
Apparently the original vid
This was truly interesting, a flip-flop for the Bubsy's Beach Bash!
Will I pay $100 for a flip-flop? Probably not. But it is interesting to know that this invitation to the release party actually existed, and you can get it now on E-bay.
My thanks to papajulingleefor the great images, and here's hoping that eventually that flip-flop finds a good loving home. (Or finds it's mate to make a pair, whichever comes first.)
So SpongeFox, another admin of the Bubsy Bobcat Fan Blog, came up with this great art recently... More art from other artists to come. But the submission from SpongeFox reminds me of this great video from the Nostalgia Critic. Rob Paulsen as some may recall did the voice for Bubsy in the animated pilot. Not something he is reported to be crazy about, but we like him anyway. (and I think he did an excellent Bubsy, only recently surpassed by the Woolies Strike Back Bubsy voice.) E
