I feel like I did when New Horizons whizzed past Pluto, or Cassino crashed into Saturn. So much data collected that will be reviewed for years.
And as Bubsy fans in the final days before Bubsy: The Woolies Strike Back there is a blur of activity on Twitter of hundreds of Bubsy fans (really not kidding, see for yourself...) writing in that we will be quoting some of the best quips for months to come.
But why not join in the fun while it lasts? "Bubsy" (or someone playing as Bubsy from
With the recent advertisements with the usual Bubsy red exclamation mark, and later with the black shield shirt, I decided to have a little fun with gimp and make the yellow exclamation mark shirt from Fractured Furry Tales as seen off to the side.
One could argue that the the fairy tales were fractured, even including Bubsy's shirt. At the beginning of the game his shirt is yellow and all intro show a yellow exclamation mark. At the end of the game in the final closing scene the exclamati
So Bubsy saying he likes tacos. Never had a doubt that someone like Bubsy would like Tacos. Or Pizza, or anything else for that matter. I enjoyed National Taco Day. First time to visit Fuzzy's Tacos and they have seven different tacos for $1 a piece. My wife and I tried a little of each. Excellent tacos with the ground beef taco being my favorite of the bunch with others like Pork, the veggie taco and a few others being also really good. Have to say though, seven different types of ta
For Bubsy fans we live in exciting times: The Days before the launch of Bubsy: The Woolies Strike Back.
There have been times since the launch of this Bubsy Bobcat fan blog in 2008 that I would search the internet and maybe find one new picture of Bubsy, but I am happy to say that is not the case now.
Going forward till the launch of Bubsy and after I will be featuring the excitement of those going into this game, initial thoughts, and reviews. And I will post some of the fun things as
So a week or so ago Flatzone contacted me about some Bubsy facts and if they could use some clips from my Fractured Furry Tales Speedrun videos. No problem on the speedrun videos was my answer, and as for the facts they were looking for the weight and height of Bubsy Bobcat. I poured through the information I had and just like those at Flatzone I couldn't find the height and weight of Bubsy either, so I turned to the best source on Bubsy, the creator of the character, Michael Berlyn.
So apparently enough people vouched for Bubsy on Twitter and he is verified. And apparently it was a few thousand people.
I have no idea what just happened, but cool there are that many that verify Bubsy.

I've already ordered my copy. (Of course!) My favorite new Bubsy line I've heard on the previews so
So I was cruising the web, how this always starts, and I saw the cutest Bubsy figure here... https://www.etsy.com/listing/515344010/bubsy-bobcat-3-hand-sculpted-figurine?ref=market Was only like $13 or so. (plus like $6 shipping) The figure came in today, so here is how this looks in my hand to shore a bit more scale.. Consider how short Bubsy is, probably the right scale next to a Star Wars figure. Kinda cool!
So not long ago I was looking at my collection of Bubsy games and said "Man I wish I could download the Bubsy game for my collection of the museum game. I could preserve it, make a special box for it, ect."
Well my weird twisted dreams came true. As of a few days go you can download PC or Mac version AND it has a epilogue to the game where Bubsy has his own exhibit.
It's about as weird and pointless as the last game. But makes you think, and makes me want to visit this museum.
I've been really excited about the news of the new Bubsy game , and while I've been reading the official Bubsy website, and even got a e-mail from Bubsy himself I subscribed to his fan club (wow that's just weird but cool) soundcloud has some of the most interesting commentary this side of YouTube.
So after some poking around Soundcloud, here are the highlights...
Here is a good podcast released a month ago that talks of the series, but talks in depth on Bubsy 3D with game tips and trick
So the trailers for Sonic Forces has recently come out and they introduce a new character that they show a silhouette that looks amazingly like Bubsy. Is this possible? Well, there are a lot of things that support that it would. Here are some videos that I found on this:
The first video I found that turned me onto this YouTube sensation.
Here we have a video where the author tries to explain away anyone else but Bubsy.
Explanation of who currently owns Bubsy and that
So for a while I've had this yellow cat that I've had in mind to look more Bubsy like. It was the place I stored my Bubsy kit cap.
Some orange spray paint was passed my way, I tried it out on the yellow cat, and liked it and went to work....
Looks better with the hat...
And decided till I can make a better one, how about the green exclamation mark from the second player Bubsy made with the same frog tape I used to cover the face during the painting. Made for a nice touch. Add
Time is relative. This entry titled September 2017 was written in March 2017. Why? Because I want to make sure the blog has an entry for every month, so each one of these entries I make I write to count. I am not sure there will be Bubsy material for months to come.
Figure get a few months ahead and then when the Bubsy material runs dry, and it has since the blog start from time to time, I will have a buffer to work with. Well, Bubsy material just keeps popping up in some form or fash
Naturally I love collecting, within reason, anything for the Bubster. I have picked up copies naturally in English both UK and American, Japanese, and Russian. I have copies showing up in Dutch, and I'm also seeing a beautiful copy in German out there. And I was thinking tonight how great it's be to see a Spanish copy. Well ladies and gents, it's out there! Just not as cool a box as I'd like it to be. So here is my collection so far. Bindings. It is all about the bindings baby.
Discovered a website called Scratch where people make online applications and programs:
What is great about this is there are a few Bubsy games on this site!
I'll feature some on this link but one is Bubsy in Scrtchnapped.
A cute game. I have downloaded the Scratch file. Not sure how that would work normally aside from the Scratch environment on the browser, but thought it was worth a mirror here.
Other games to be reviewed soon.
So today I got two new Bubsy cases from Russia.
A comparison of the Bubsy cases with the Russia cases on the bottom and the Genesis (USA) and Mega Drive (UK) cases on the top row.
A comparison of the Bubsy II cases with the Russia cases on the bottom and the Genesis (USA) and Mega Drive (UK) cases on the top row.
Here we have pictures of the back of the Russian cartridges.
And if you want to see more, here are other pictures I took comparing the Russian cases with the oth
Tonight was a great night.
So I've been playing with porting the mod files from Bubsy: Fractured Furry Tales from the Atari Jaguar to play on the Sega Genesis. As I posted previously, I got the mods to play on a mod converter (Toy Story mod). There were NTSC and PAL mod binaries made. The NTSC binaries played better but faster, the PAL binaries were at about true speed but with more static. In the end, I went with the PAL mod binaries.
So then I learned of the Sega emulator on th
