I always like Bubsy in challenging situations. That seems to be his way. To get stuck, but not neccessarily beaten. Here Bubsy is working through a problem
This was truly interesting, a flip-flop for the Bubsy's Beach Bash!
Will I pay $100 for a flip-flop? Probably not. But it is interesting to know that this invitation to the release party actually existed, and you can get it now on E-bay.
My thanks to papajulingleefor the great images, and here's hoping that eventually that flip-flop finds a good loving home. (Or finds it's mate to make a pair, whichever comes first.)

Will you look at this!! I asked Sponge Fox for a picture of Bubsy with goggles. Why? Well in Bubsy 1 when he would ride the roller coaster he would wear the goggles. It was a nice look for him.
Sponge Fox took it a step further adding another cool element of Bubsy, side slinging the Ballzooka that he used in Bubsy 2, and then for fun, added the fingerless gloves.
All and all, this to me is the most awesome picture of Bubsy I have seen yet. Thanks Sponge Fox for helping Bubsy evo

I'm happy to report that while we have Sponge Fox as the rabid maker of Bubsy art, we have another deviant artist who was nice enough to point the way to this fan blog, and so I will return the favor.

Just picked up a new game for the Atari Lynx called "Hotdog".
I'm kinda stoked about it because basically the game is just a few pixels away from being Bubsy. The similarities...
1) You land on enemies to knock them out and get points.
2) One hit knocks you out.
3) Character has that "games with personality" look to him. The character is drawn at a similar angle to Bubsy.
4) Character will stamp feet when you make him wait.
5) Character rides items in the game much like in Bubsy.

Ok, a little game.... pick up GAME FAN MAGAZINE #4 currently on stands right now and you will see in the Game Fan Magazine video game collection a BUBSY PLUSHIE!!
Maybe in a few months I might post a scan of it, but I like Game Fan a lot (since they have featured Jaguar stuff in there like ten years ago long after the Jaguar was huge) so go out and own this fine video game magazine and see the rare Bubsy plushie long before I post it here.

Tried the link, and over time Youtube removed a lot of features as we left the age of Yahoo groups and other forum based ways of communication. And also Youtube removed the private message feature.

Thanks to the efforts of GGN over on FreeJag we were able to unpack the picture for the water levels on Bubsy. Here is the picture for those levels. (Maybe not in the exactly right pallet, but close)

Here we have more background pictures from Fractured Furry Tails.
Love the screen shots, and while looking in the animation files I found some interesting shirts that were in the game, probably ported from Bubsy 1 and 2, and yet not used in this game, that I have seen at least. The black shirt on the first Bubsy game was one that made you invisible and invincible, and the 9 lives shirt I have yet to see anywhere.

Zerosquare at Jagware (and the help of the people on the FreeJag ) there is a program to bring the color in the Bubsy background pictures. When I saw this I thought... wow!!! This was the background picture to the Alice levels of Bubsy Fractured Furry Tales.
Was having fun with the Fractured Furry Tales game, seeing what was inside, and so far I have found some interesting items. These images were taken looking at the images in RAW format, and what we got was a greyscale image, but it gives us an idea of what is there. Hopefully once I figure out how to convert from the Jaguar image formats we can get a better look at these pictures. But what you see here is the title screen...

When I originally started collecting Bubsy Art, I found that most of the art out there was Sponge Fox, and never would have imagined I'd have fun talking about some ideas of Bubsy art and various tinkering with concepts.
So first off the latest artwork. This is Bubsy with Bonkers with his niece and nephew. I thought it captured the characters well.
The next two were done in fun tinkering with what Bubsy would do if bored. Sponge Fox wants you to know this is not some kind of inflati
... I got the Bubsy shirt, and had fun wearing it when I went to kareokee at the Plato Loco here in Dallas. I took this picture, and was starting to photoshop out things in the background when I just went whole hog and had fun with it:
Ironically tonight while wearing this shirt I sang "This Cats on A Hot Tin Roof"

The Bubsy games contained little comics in them that have inspired hundreds of drawings of fan art. We had a request from Sponge Fox who was nice enough to let us feature some of her art here, so I figured I would get this posted so we all could enjoy yet another bit of the Bubster.
