It only took me 30+ years of playing Nintendo games to finally make my own backups. Of course this kind of technology probably wasn't available to consumers in the late 1980's and early 90's... or was it? I don't remember playing ROM dumps on NESticle until college, and even then I didn't know anybody who made their own. We all just found them online.
At first I thought "This couldn't possibly be the same Pengo that I used to play on Atari consoles back in the day." Well IT IS. They added a story mode and some time limits but the gameplay is basically the same. Then I thought "Well this makes perfect sense. Sega made the game, Sega owns the IP, so they must have printed a whole bunch of copies since it was cheap and in-house." Well THEY DIDN'T.
