No 7800 for me please!

Hi there!   So, today I decided to not buy a 7800 and to not collect its games.   After some bad experiences with the Odyssey 2 and the Intellivision, I had decided to check out the entire available PAL library _BEFORE_ buying it this time   Over the past half a year, I then played through the complete library. Hi there!   I need to programm again. I need a project. Something that keeps my mind busy instead of worrying about the future and stuff And I want to do something for the NES. NES Apocalypse Engine (Milestone 2)

Hi there!   The video RAM of the NES is soooo sloooow...   Here's a new version of my particle engine, that will not only move dots within tiles, but also the tiles themselves It's moving 48 dots at 30Hz. My H.E.R.O. died

Hi there!Shock & horror, I just had to discover that my H.E.R.O. cartridge is no longer working properly :sad:Most of the time it'll just do some rolling garbage, but the weird thing is, it will eventually stabilize and play. But when it plays, it'll have various glitches appearing, like flicker in certain areas, or wrong colors in others. The screen will shake and roll in certain situations and after a while the game will just lock-up in weird states. Just as if the content of certain bits

More Garbage!

Hi there!   Another Park Patrol riddle has been solved! Remember me reporting that the "used" half of the first bank of the game mostly contained alternating $FF and $00 pages?   Believe it or not, but after all the fuss of getting those 4K extracted from the cartridge, some lines of code further down the road - it get's just completely overwritten with zeros!   Kinda disturbing. Mission: Beat all European Released Capcom Games #01

Hi there!   I started this mission in early in 2011 and now have a first milestone covered: I'm done with the first 10 games!   What follows is the list of games I'm already done with, adding a few comments to each. What is true for all of them, is that I beat each on the default difficulty and without cheating. I did use stuff like built-in auto fire and continues though. Minigame Mania

Hi there!Phew... now with the minigame contest being finished for 2005, the fun thing begins: Playing the games!While most were available for a long time already, I prefer to go through them in two big blocks (1K & 4K) at once, so I can all compare them against each other. Hi there!   I usually have one current system running which I'm buying new games for every once in a while. The last gen system doing the job for me was the GBA, for which I bought 20 titles during its lifetime.
