awesome weekend and my 5200 and collecting thoughts

I just spent the weekend fixing my 5200. I fixed the color on my 5200, re-calibrated the controllers and replaced the flex boards. lot a work but well worth it. My 5200 works better now than ever. I think it needs some more tweeking but now it works. Over all great system. I also found pacman defender super break out and Kangaroo MIB for $20. I now have 10 5200 games. 5200 baby !

got a great deal today. Finally replaced my 5200. Got one in Box 2 controllers. was sold as broken I took it home and cleaned it good removed some oxidation from mother board and it works great. One of the controllers works the other may need a new board but all look nice needs a back door cover. all this for $70. The box is in great shape system is clean and controllers dusty but good as well. Is there a place that sells repro covers for the back? if so where. Thanks still totally stoked

Favorite Atari game

Just wondering what everyone's favourite 2600 game. Mine would have to be adventure. This was the first game I bought with my own money also the first game I ever beat. Even today I get it out and play it it is still fun and on 3rd setting can still be a bit of a challenge. Bezerk would have to be my second favourite. The mother of all video games for an Atari 2600 owner and the first pack in game. My Atari game it came with my promotional release only Atari 2600 It had the box even. Though it had a red box and not the all black one so go fig. Thoughts on 5200(or how to kill a system)

Though I currently do not own a 5200 ( Hey I will take donations LOL). I have played the system. It was a great system graphically superior to the 2600 and even on par with the 7800. So why did this system epically Fail?? There have been tons or reasons and it has in some ways been talked to death. But I will give you my first-hand thoughts and reasoning. 1. First Blog Post: This blog will be about my thoughts on old 80s games and Toys. My first video game system was really a Coleco Telstar system then the Atari 2600. I was extremely lucky and got a Promotional use Atari 2600. I still have the system but have misplaced it I hope to find it as it was a heavy 6er Sunnydale.
