Steven78 Steven78 is the person, who posted the screenshot of the title screen, the script of codes and the description on NintendoAge. He lives in Netherlands and has a lot of prototypes of games. He even has games, that were never published or completed (such as the Pac world, Shadows Of The Wind...). Where did he got them? I'm not sure.    It was really hard to find his sites/adresses. So how many Bubsy games exist? (Releases,Re-Releases,Bootlegs)

So, if we count all of the re-releases, plug 'n plays and bootlegs we could find, we have: over 50 games! From Bubsy in Claws Encounters of the Furred Kind (1993) to Bubsy Paws on Fire! DoctorClu has found and will buy this: RARE Bubsy 3D - Toys "R" Us VIDPro Display Card     It's one of the original VIDPro manufactured cards that were used in Toys "R" Us at one point in time from the '80s to early 2000s. Pretty cool from them, don't you think?

Today I found some more info about Bubsy 3. The most forgotten Bubsy game project ever. Which is why I did some research. How Many Ports of Bubsy in Claws Encounters of the Furred Kind (1993) Exist?

Bubsy was made in 1993 with his first game called "Bubsy in Claws Encounters of the Furred Kind" which the title is play on words in reference to a movie called "Close Encounters of the Third Kind" (1977). When it was released, he was popular and became the best new character in 1993. In fact, he was so popular, he had many merchandise, competitions and commercials. The game also got many releases and ports. Some of them you know, some of them are new. So let's check them out.

How Many Ports of Bubsy 2 (1994) Exist?

After the first Bubsy game came out in 1993, they made a sequel and simply called it Bubsy 2. This is the only title of a Bubsy game, that has no pun like all of his games are called. The sequel wasn't successful and not many people liked this game. Even Michael Berlyn (the creator of Bubsy) hated Bubsy 2 and said, that it was a fail of his franchise. Even tho' it was a lack of success, it still has many releases, but not as much as the first game got. So, let's check them out.

Someone on Bubsy Fan Club found the video called: GamesMaster Challenge: Bubsy in Claws Encounters of the Furred Kind       It was uploaded by Gamesmaster Uploader. The video is from of a show called GamesMaster, specifically Season 3 and Episode 11. The challenge was to collect as many yarns as possible in 1 minute. Conversation with Mark Eyles about Bubsy 3

Some days ago, I asked Mark Eyles through E-mail about Bubsy 3. At first, he thought I meant Bubsy 3D. So he said that he wasn't involved in this and gave me a link to Bubsy 3D page. Then I explained to him more about it and he then understood me.   He said, that he doesn't remember working with Bubsy. There could be two possibilities he said: - either they are just referring to a discussion he had with someone at some point about game ideas or - it was some other game

Collection of Michael and Muffy Berlyn papers including Bubsy's collection!!

On January 21st 2021, Julia (Archivist at The Strong National Museum of Play) announced on Twitter, that collection of Michael and Muffy Berlyn papers are now available on a museum called The Strong National Museum of Play, which is in New York.    In the page from the museum it says, they have a lot of Bubsy archives such as: “Bubsy” – game proposal, tech specs, cost documents, notes; 1991 “Bubsy” – game design documentation, bug lists, notes, memos; 1991-1992

Bubsy commercials (1993-2019)

This is a compilation of Bubsy commercials from 1993 to 2019. There's no commercial for Bubsy in Fractured Furry Tales or for Bubsy 3D. Right now, Bubsy 1 and 2, Bubsy: The Woolies Strikes Back and Bubsy: Paws on Fire! are the only ones who got commercials. Right now, I found 10 of them. Bubsy in Claws Encounters of the Furred Kind got the most with 5 commercials and the less got Bubsy 2 with only 1 commercial.   The only other dubbed Bubsy commercial is in Spanish, that

Bubsy Claws Encounters of the Furred Kind (1993, Sega Mega Drive) commercial found!

A few months ago, I uploaded a compilation of Bubsy commercials (1993-2019). If you look on 1:26, there's an interesting commercial, that advertised Bubsy in Claws Encounters of the Furred Kind for Sega Mega Drive in 1993. But unfortunetaly, the footage itself was distorted at the start and at the end, so we don't know how it starts nor ends. Bubsy 4 theory

You think, that Bubsy 3 "No More Mr. Nice Guy!" is the rarest media from Bubsy? Well apparently, Michael Berlyn tried to make Bubsy 4 after Bubsy 3D. Or did he? There are only two articles about it. Bubsy 3 files on the screenshot (theory)

Today, I looked at one of the screenshots of Bubsy 3 "No More Mr. Nice Guy!" and checked at the files, that are shown in the screenshot.    I don't know, if I chose the right files for Bubsy 3, but I think those are the ones. I looked at definitions of each file on fileinfo.com and made theories around them.
