Eggplant Stew

So looking at my short songs list made me think of my 7-second long song I did called "Kitty." I forgot that I had made a really cool in my opinion final version of it. So now I would need a B Side if I ever got this put onto a 45, something that I'm mulling over. (I know there are better ways to spend money, but on the other hand, it would be really cool to have a 45 record of songs you made on it.) So I'm in the middle of recording a B-side to Kitty. It's called "Eggplant Stew." For this really short song, I employed an Atari 2600. Programming the 8-second song proved not to be so easy. But about an hour later of minor tweaks to get the sound changes exactly right, it was done. And then I recorded me singing the lyrics. And then I merged the two files together. This is what I have so far. I want to use my didgeridoo and also put MIDI percussion in there as well, but I haven't done that yet. I don't really know anyone who can play the drums, which is too bad since I need a really cool drummer. Enter my computer. Good thing there's MIDI, or else I would be SOL. And, as all Atari 2600 programmers know, it's really a difficult machine to make music with, with its weird notes and stuff. But I think I've done a good job here. The last treble note is apparently off according to RT's sound and music page, but I don't think it is, at least in reference to the rest of the song. And at least if not a 45, I'll make an EP CD with burned CDs. The whole EP would be all of 15 seconds, though. I don't know if that would be the world's shortest EP or not. Anyway, the song is here: http://www.atari2600land.com/kitty/index.html
