New universal remote on order

SpiceWare

One of today's Woot items is the Harmony Touch for $120, less than half the list price of $250. I can add the Ultimate Hub to allow the remote to control bluetooth devices like my PS3, something my decade old Pronto Pro doesn't support.

I'm not going to count this towards the setup cost of the DVR Project as it's something I'd have done even if I hadn't gotten rid of DirecTV.

Why would you need the Harmony Touch, if you have the Ultimate Hub? Doesn't the latter just turn your iDevice into a remote anyway?

I don't have the Ultimate Hub, it's something I'll probably add later.

Yeah the iDevice will work with the Hub, but then I'd have to give company my unlock code. The other thing is after having had the Pronto Pro for a decade, I know that physical buttons on an AV remote are really nice to have.

Point well taken on the physical buttons. I can use my iPhone or iPad for a remote for U-verse, but I don't, simply because I never have to look at the actual remote to use it. (Or wake it up and unlock it.)
