Anger-inducing software
I hereby declare that all software ever made after this point MUST be tested by someone OUTSIDE the project, whether it be ME or anyone else. Case in point: the ANGER-INDUCING video editing software I'm using to make my ActionMax homebrew is user-unfriendly. In fact it's downright user-mean. Nothing is what it seems, and damned if I can figure out how to cut out part of a video. I tried various things, and it is VERY ANGER-INDUCING. But somehow I struggled to make the little black & white thing at the corner of the screen. Took me an hour but I did it. I figured I had better cut the part of the intro where the thing at the corner of the screen isn't really at the corner of the screen because of varying aspect ratios. The video switches from 4:3 to 16:9. Why did 16:9 become standard? It's not like it can show movies perfectly or anything. So now the video total right now is 15 minutes. I have yet to add a single enemy. I'll do that when I feel like tackling the hideous monster software again. But god it's hard. The hardest part will be adding enemy target flicker. I figure since there's no friendly targets, I can just have it be a solid white, correct? That would make things a lot easier. I don't know. I figure if I add credits as well as the ActionMax ad I found on an old tape, I could stretch the time out to about 17 minutes or so.
