working on Thanksgiving
Well, not at a job, but on my ActionMax homebrew. I spotted my ActionMax VHS cassette tapes on the floor which made me think about working on the (pain in the neck video editing software that I have to use in order to make the) game. I didn't get together with my family because there's too many kids over at my sister's house that I don't know. So it's just a quiet Thanksgiving at my house with Mom. She was nice enough to fix me a turkey breast and stuffing from Trader Joe's (a local grocery store) and some mashed potatoes. So I did partake in eating dead bird carcasses. And I have a lot left over. Afterwords, I spent about 90 minutes putting ONE Frickin' enemy in the game (which goes to show you how user-unfriendly the software is!) So now there's two enemies. Whoopee. A long ways to go to fill up the fifteen minutes of video I shot for the game last September. Maybe if I go with a plan of adding one enemy per week, the game will be done and ready to test by May 2014. And then (I'm thinking while I'm writing here), I'll have it released by September, which will mark the 27th anniversary of the last ActionMax game released (Blue Thunder, September 1987.) Unfortunately, I think I'm going to have to put it on DVD, since a.) I have no way of putting it on a VHS, and b.) Does anyone still use their VCRs besides me? Oh well.
