For Sonic fans...
You do not have every single Sonic game unless you have the one for the LeapFrog Didj. And I have it. I am by no means a Sonic collector, even for games, but this one is just a Sonic oddity. I am in the process of trying to amass a complete Didj collection, and it just came in the mail today. It focuses on spelling, and it plays like a normal Sonic game would, but if you find a huge ring, you go to a special world. And what is in the special world? Rings. And how do you earn them? You guessed it: spelling! The spelling minigames I have involve Sonic jumping on monitors that display letters, and the Didj talks to you and tells you what word to spell. Another has Sonic turning a wheel with letters on it. The first one the controls are awkward, they're not like the regular Sonic game, they're extra sensitive and I accidentally jumped on a monitor I didn't mean to. But it just tells you "that's incorrect" and has you try again. The second minigames, one of the words to spell was "eel." Why would a kid need to know how to spell eel? Anyway, it's a fun little Sonic game, but a couple nitpicks: A few of the sprites seem to be lifted from jpegs that have a lossy effect, like the level numbers. Or look like they've been poorly Photoshopped to try and get rid of its original background, like the giant ring. But anyway, just thought you'd might like to know about Sonic for the Didj.
