Nice Ice elf
AA member Kiwi sent me three elf sprites. I chose the first one. I had been trying to work on some things like collision detection and trying to make the elf not appear on your spot once he moves to the side. The first few times ended in failure, but I persevered and now I think I have a somewhat playable game ready for Christmas of 2013. I'll take suggestions now and try to work on it some more after the holidays are over. I've used up 1,982 of the possible 2,048 bytes of a 2k game, so I have like 50 bytes left for any changes I'd like to do. So if you have O2EM installed, go to the Nice Ice webpage, download the game, and try it out. And if you don't have O2EM installed, you are naughty. Go rectify the situation and be on Santa's good list and download it now. So here is the webpage for Nice Ice. In addition, for those who may want to learn O2 programming (you have a hearty, hard task if you don't know anything about programming), I've posted the source code for the game. It's the way I learned (and am still learning) how to program for the beast. http://www.atari2600land.com/niceice/
