A thread on AtariAge made me wonder where my game.com games went. So I looked around in the garage and the pantry for about 20 minutes in the cold, getting angrier and angrier that I couldn't find them. So I went to sleep. Woke up and spent ten minutes again looking. I found them. They were in a box in a box in the pantry. So I put in a game.com game in the system. Nothing. I think it's flaky. I reported that it doesn't work any more. I tried again just now and it seems to work fine now. So there's something definitely wrong with it. And I'm wondering why people think it sucks. Is it because it's only in black and white? Is it the ghosting? Whatever it is, I want a homebrew scene for this thing. If people can make homebrew Dreamcast games, then surely the game.com isn't any worse off than the Game Boy. So I guess I'll forever be playing the 15 or so games over and over again until the thing breaks and I can't get another one because nobody will make homebrew development tools for it and release homebrew games. Oh well, I guess at least the emulator finally got released so the console can live on forever on PCs. Why is it that nobody will release homebrew games for classic crappy systems? If I want an ActionMax game, I have to make it myself.
