Romance on the Run (1938)
I'm watching old movies under an hour again. This time it's the 1938 movie Romance on the Run, with hardly any romance at all. Looking at the IMDb page, it looks like it originally ran for 68 minutes, but all that's left of the movie is the edited 53-minute version. So that's what Alpha Video used (as well as put their own bug at the beginning and end of the movie!). One without the Alpha Video bug can be found here: https://archive.org/details/romance_on_the_run Anyway, it's sad that Alpha had to mar some old movies they had absolutely no part whatsoever in making. Anyway, one of the guys in the movie looks and talks just like Lou Costello. Although he isn't listed as Lou Costello anywhere, rather Edward Brophy, as the character called Whitey Whitehouse. Many jokes were recorded by me about the name as I recorded myself with audio watching the movie (like an MST3k episode), so if I plan to watch these dumb old movies, it wouldn't be as boring as it was originally watching the movie (see the other entry in this blog category, Black Gold, for more). So, I have 5 more movies to do, 2 of which were already done by MST3k, but I'm going to do them anyway. I guess it's just for my own amusement, as I can't upload any file to my website more than a puny 5MB (the audio file of me watching the movie is 23MB.) I can't put any videos longer than a few minutes due to this. See my non-YouTube Poop page here: http://www.atari2600land.com/poop/
