Ever wonder how the Mad Bomber got so high up on the screen and was able to drop bombs from so high up? Well, that riddle has been solved. I worked some more on Alien Greed 5. If you get 20 points (which is really easy right now), I put in a cut scene that will solve your 33 years of wondering. (interesting note: I wasn't born yet when Kaboom! came out.) After the cutscene, it just goes back to the beginning. I have an idea about the boss level, though. It seems like mr. alien has to dodge bombs being thrown by the Mad Bomber, who is off-screen. If you successfully dodge a bomb, a point will be added to your score. After 20 points, the Bomber will cease (looks like he only has 20 bombs.) and the alien will run towards him and give chase to him. The Mad Bomber will return to the wall and you will start catching carts again, only this time at a little faster pace. So every "wave" is 40 points. Also, I need to find a YouTube video about what happens if you surprise the Mad Bomber (earn 10,000 points), see what happens, and try to replicate that. I think I might be able to fit this in 4k, but we'll see how much space the bomb throwing boss scene will take up. I have 1,775 bytes left. I'd like to add in a cool title screen with a lovely song also, but I don't know how much space will be left for that. I suppose if I wanted to, I could make it 8k and have a really long title song and elaborate title screen with animation and stuff. But we'll see. While coming back to programming this for the 2600, I forgot how fun it was, while the Odyssey 2 is really hard because I semi-understand its assembly. I think with all the miscues I've given about what game mr. alien will be conquering next (Outlaw, Pitfall), I think I have finally decided on Kaboom.
