Good points. I tried to reason with someone who I thought was a friend, They threw out accusations, I worked to give proof that was not the case, the guy talked more trash.

 

We are not friends anymore, but looking back, I don't think we were to begin with.

 

These days when people talk trash beyond fun, I see it more as their ignorance than my problem.

Every forum seems to have their own culture - or lack of it.

 

Let off some steam if you have to.. just don't let the trolls control your mood. Just keep on being awesome and contribute where you feel is a healthy environment.

Usually, a forum having more people in their 20s, 30s, and 40s means that forum will be more mature and well-behaved, but it's hardly for sure. Some of the biggest assholes I've ever met online acted like middle schoolers but were, in fact, twice my age.

 

I'm embarassed for them, but I see no reason to let it ruin a good conversation online.

Age is all relative anyway. Many smart people continue to learn over the years. Stuff like how to deal with stress. How to deal with people who push yer buttons. Even how to not to push other peoples buttons!

 

Sadly, that kind of learning is also a choice. Many people choose not to grow. Instead they blame their own behavior on life and others. So, I guess this Neverland forum shouldn't be a source of anger so much as a cautionary tale
