Working on GoSub again
So I got back to work on GoSub for Intellivision again. I discovered a trick that made me lose 2k. Displaying the game's level as digits rather than spelling it out. And then I added the submarine to the title screen, added a ping noise and even made a first attempt at death animation. I have been feeling very sleepy lately, so I slept until 4pm today, which meant I couldn't go anywhere today. So I have to stay around the house a lot this week, only venturing outside to take the dog out. It's been windy a lot here lately. 2 trees fell down and a third lost some branches. Anyway, I had the urge to play a 2D platforming game. So I put in SpongeBob for PSX. Man, chapter 1 level 3 is uber hard. I don't know how they expect kids to beat it if I barely did. And I did only because I sped right through the enemies getting hurt. It's like Sonic only instead of rings there are spatulas. If you touch an enemy, spatulas fly all over the place. And you lose a life if you touch an enemy with 0 spatulas. Oh, and you can't touch any enemies. Jumping on them hurts you. But you can attack them in some levels by flinging jellyfish at them that you catch with a net. And can someone explain how a pair of briefs constitute an extra life icon? Why not make it a Krabby Patty? Oh well.
