More Turbo-Grafx 16
I had an itch to get back to playing my TurboGrafx-16. All I had was the console. This morning, I searched inside the cold garage for the Jaguar power cord and the controller. I need to get organized, they were not in the same box. It's just too cold out there. So when that was done, I plugged in the thing and played a little bit of Pac-Land. I cannot get past that first big huge swimming pool in Trip 2 no matter how hard I try. I always end up diving in at the edge. Yeah, so thanks for making that game impossible to beat. I bet the programmers and game testers (if any) themselves couldn't beat it. I went on eBay. Every single TG16 game is really expensive. Even Keith Courage was $8. Why? It's not like there's a shortage of them. There's a ton on eBay and they all have really high prices. It just angers me. So I bit the bullet and bought Galaga '90. Even though I'm not that fond of Space Invaders-type games because I suck at aiming and shooting at the right time. I keep missing the one little rock in Asteroids. Anyway, even then, I still like the Turbo-Grafx 16. I don't know why. I guess it's because of the way the games look. They have their own unique look. They don't look like NES games, yet at the same time, they don't look like SNES games. Or maybe it's because they use small cards instead of big cartridges. Or maybe it's because since it has only one controller port, a lot of the games are for one player. I don't have anyone else to play video games with, so it seems like a good fit to have one.
