N64
I went into GameStar, the video game store. I looked at the PS1 section. Same old garbage. In fact, just about every section had the same old garbage. I saw the Vita was gone, someone must have bought it. So I thought to myself "I haven't been playing my N64 lately. Perhaps I'll get a few games to review for an upcoming issue of Nintendo Stuff. The last one I did was September. So I walked out with Ridge Racer 64 and a golf title. Whether I'll get around to writing reviews for a January 2016 issue is another matter. I hope to start on a January issue on 12/17. I know, probably nobody reads them, but it is still fun to tell people about new to me N64 titles I get. In case you don't know or forgot, Nintendo Stuff was a magazine I made for myself beginning in the summer of 1997. The summer after the N64 came out. And I was in my teenage years. I wrote a piece on Nintendo 64 games for my middle school newspaper. The only writing I ever had published. So I quit shortly after the Gamecube came out. I got disenfranchised with the whole new gaming scene that was evolving into more realistic and therefore more awful games being created. I still wonder how a PS5 could possibly be better than a PS4. But anyway, last December I decided to restart it for some reason. Now that the internet had been created and I have my own webpage, I began to share it. So that's why I mostly write about N64 games in that e-zine. Because that was the last generation that wowed me at how great the games were TO PLAY. So I got out my N64 from the garage to see if it still works. Yes. I thought about getting an older SNES so I can find and use the Game Genie I have for it (I only have an SNES mini) but the prices are outrageous! $60 for a console released 25 years ago? Why?! Anyway, I haven't forgotten about Nintendo Stuff for a very long time yet, and the past issues are here: http://www.atari2600land.com/nintendostuff/
