Just found this podcast and catching up.  I too lived in Denver, well, Franktown (just outside Castle Rock) and I'm pretty sure I got my Jag at the Walden store...I know I went to Horizon (it was a little shop on the second floor of some office park off the highway), and got my Pro Controllers from him.  Used to repair game machines for Larry at Game Force in Castle Rock too, so he always carried Jag stuff for me. :P

On Tempest.  I thought I remember reading that Jeff Minter actually thinks Tempest X3 is the best version of T2K out there, even though he didn't get paid for it.  At first he hated it (I bought the Saturn version too, but it wasn't as good as the Jag version IMO). It's my favorite just because I can play it on my modded PSP anytime I want.

I also had the opportunity to talk and play Tempest 3000 on the Nuon at E3 one year for a couple of hours.  It was just me and Jeff in a booth and we had a nice chat.  I really wish I could play it again, but I never even had a chance to buy a Nuon in the day or find a copy of Tempest 3000.

And yes, I did buy a PS Vita just for TxK.

Clip from "Videodrome." I just used iMac mics to record audio of movie playing on iMac. I dropped in Carholeband and jacked with it to hopefully cut some of my office AC et al. Howbeit, in the movie, it was playing in a VCR through dude's TV, so the audio wasn't great source material in addition to my slipshod capture method.
