Mr. Driller for Dreamcast
Boy, the USPS can be really fast sometimes. I just ordered Mr. Driller for Dreamcast on the 29th. Here it's Feb. 1 and it came today. I played it a little bit. I have the GBC version. Man is this game hard. And I'm wondering whether the colors are random or if they're the same place every time. What led me to believe they might be in the same place is the pattern that is four or five blocks deep at the beginning of the game. I played a little of survival mode and I kept getting squished by blocks all the time. One time I made it to the first megablock. My thing is how do you keep track of all the stuff going on above you if you're busy drilling downwards? The demo makes it look easy, but it isn't. Anyway, I suppose I'm lucky to see it on eBay when it was. There are no copies of the American version on eBay right now. All of them for the Dreamcast are the Japanese version. And yet Digital Press still rates it an R4. I asked about it on their website and even though I told them there aren't any on eBay, people maintain that it's relatively easy to find. It took me a long time to see an affordable copy on eBay. And now there is a slight problem: There is no "must-have" game for me that is unattainable. Stuff like Shenmue, Crazy Taxi, fighting, RPG, and stuff like that doesn't really appeal to me. i guess I'm an odd gamer. Odd because I don't really seem to like what most people enjoy. And with each title I get for this system, the more it seems like it isn't a perfect fit for me to have. But I still like it, though. Must be because it didn't fare very well. I seem to enjoy stuff that didn't do very well in stores. After the fact. Like the N-Gage. And then once I find out about a console, all the games for it are really expensive.
