"Retips" is a word, dammit!
It isn't in any dictionary, but it has to be a word, right? True story. The tip of my cue stick got replaced. So what does the company do that did that? Retips. Right? Well, I'm making it a word. Just because something isn't in a dictionary doesn't mean it's a word. If the New York Times can do it (outskip), then surely I can. One of my joys in life is word puzzles, be it crosswords or others, and the only word that will fit in one I'm making is "retips". I already put in a Q in my puzzle, the least-used letter (quesadillas and queuer). This one I'm trying to work on is called a Rows Garden. It was created by a Mr. Patrick Berry in the '90s for Games Magazine (for more on this, there's an excellent bi-weekly website for this type of puzzle, http://www.ariespuzzles.com/ and I've been trying to make a great one. All my efforts were sub-par in my view, so I'm trying to make my ultimate one, my best one. A few hours later, I'm about 1/3 done (rows A-E are finished. I need to make rows F-L.) I'm waiting for the new dryer to come and the people to come to install it. I'm assuming they'll call first, but if they just show up, that's fine, too. They said between 3:30-5:30, so I'm hoping they'll come in an hour or so, but I'm not putting out much hope for that. I'm also hoping the gas fireplace goes out before they come or else I'll have to figure out how to turn it off. It just shuts off on its own if nobody touches it for a certain amount of time.
