N64 time

I updated my avatar to reflect my current gaming status. Right now I'm really into the N64. So I put the rotating N as my avatar. It's only 36k, so it's not a really big file in size. And since I am back into the N64, this means I am going to make a new issue of Nintendo Stuff for July 2016. The N64's 20th anniversary is coming up this September 30, so if I make an October issue, it will be a 20-year anniversary issue! Anyway, I have been making Nintendo Stuff a newsletter/magazine since 1997, the early days it was just for me and what I thought about games. I rented a lot of games back then, and one of them was Conker's Bad Fur Day. I bet I have the issue where I reviewed it somewhere here, I remember seeing it around. I played a bit of the Powerpuff Girls N64 game. Why did Cartoon Network advertise this as a new show? It's 15 years old. And why didn't Dexter's Lab get an N64 game? I could have done a themed Cartoon Network issue.

I've had the worst luck getting an N64 working with my collection. I've bought a couple off eBay and none of them reliably and consistently play. Sometimes I'll get lucky and the game will start, but most of the time I just get a black screen.

Next time I'm going to buy it via Kijiji so I'm buying from someone more local. However, I've got lots of options for playing games, so it's just not a priority.

I also need to get a controller extension cable so I can sit farther back from the TV.
