Since it's a boring Saturday, I decided to program something interesting for the Odyssey 2. but what? My I game isn't going anywhere, and I got sick of it, so I wanted to program something else. I got to thinking about my Virtual Boy game Insecticide, and thought it would be fun to port it to the Odyssey 2. After all, even the Odyssey 2 has more colors than the Virtual Boy. I was having extreme difficulties getting the stupid thing to work right, until I discovered start must be directly underneath the initialization. I had put the sprite information there. I'll have to add more sprites to the first fighter, Gi-Ant.

He doesn't exactly look Giant, does he? Oh well. I have a twelve character limit for names. I am using sprite 0 as you and sprite 1 as the other fighter. I also haven't decided whether to make this a 2-player game or 1 vs. computer. But all I have so far is Gi-Ant walking around. The moves should be fairly simple: up for jump and fire for punch. Down could also be used for a second move. Left and Right would make the character move left and right. I am going to use the first 2k for fighter select screen and a second 2k for the actual game. In the game, quad0 would display sprite 0's health, while quad1 would display sprite 1's. I would also have at my disposal 12 characters and 2 sprites. Or perhaps I am getting too ahead of myself. Anyway, the A/C is on, it's supposed to get to be 100 degrees here. It's 95 right now.
