It works.
So I finally got around to testing that psuedo-cardboard paper on my printer. I cut it to an 8.5x11 size and stuck it in there. My paper cutter likes the stuff too. It cuts it well. Well, one at a time anyway. Anyway, I printed out some cards my Odyssey game needs and it worked out well. I look on the wrapper the paper came in. It says it works on ink-jet printers. Well, I guess all that wondering I did for nothing. Now I need to do that nine more times and I'll have the cards done. I need a new color ink cartridge though. Mine is showing lines. Not on the stuff I did but on big patches of the same color. For example, my thing I printed out has two cubes on the side. There's faint lines through it. And yes, I am deciding to make the square cards (another hint: They function like Monopoly deed cards, but way smaller.) the same size as the overlay. This way, I don't need to design separate cards and overlay. Why bother if it can do two functions at once? I found some small baggies I can put the cards and dice in. Once I get the new color ink cartridge, I'll print out the overlay and get it printed. I'm making ten copies of the game. I made fifteen of Captain Bruce and I have some still left over. I think the pricing needs to be lower so more people will buy it. Staying with the theme of the game, I'm going to price it at $6.06, partly because of the Pearls Before Swine comic a few days ago, and partly because the game relies on the number 6. (No, it's not about Satan. If it was, I'd have priced it $6.66.) So anyway, even though I have done 0 programming today, I still worked on a video game.
