I've had to have my Laserdisc player repaired a few times over the years. I'm not sure if there's anything left that I own that's still exclusive to Laserdisc though. Pretty much everything has come out on DVD or Blu-ray now.

 

I have ST:TAS on DVD. Not sure I'd buy the Blu-ray set. I've kind of stopped buying physical media, except on rare occasion.

I prefer physical media because the picture quality is normally¹ better.

 

That said, it's not worth waiting a year for physical media so I purchase current series, like Fargo, via iTunes so I can watch the episodes the day after they're broadcast.

 

¹ I did recently pick up an expection to that - in Sliders - The Complete Series they're squeezing 5-6 episodes per disc, while the stand alone season sets would put 3-4. This results in dull colors, limited detail, etc. On top of that, they mixed up the even/odd lines somehow during the encoding, which is very noticeable during the vertically scrolling credits. I happened to find the first few seasons at Half Price Books not long after, so picked them up. Those original sets were significantly better.
