Oranges that are actually orange.
So I decided to take a stab at making Oranges for the Game Gear. This required downloading a lot of programs for my computer. But when I was done with that, another challenge hit me: I completely forgot how to make Game Gear games. So I looked through previous code I had done. I was able to get a title screen done last night before I went to bed. I woke up at 2am. I put in the guy. This required getting colors just right for an hour or so. For some reason his pants kept coming out transparent. But finally I got the guy working. I decided that I had better make the game pause and start using the Game Gear's start button. I started this at 4am. And at 6:30, the power went out for a few seconds. But it came back on, so I had to turn my computer back on and open up everything I had open again. A few minutes ago, I finally got the stupid start button working. Right now it's 11:39AM. So I spent the last 9 hours or so trying to get the start button working. If you press Start at the title screen, Bob shows up. If you press Start when Bob is on the screen, he will stop moving his legs. If you press Start when Bob's legs aren't moving, his legs will start up again. I was about ready to tear out all my hair I was so frustrated. But I finally did it. Next on the agenda is designing the in-game screen.
