I'm so old...

I was talking to someone about malfunctioning computers the other day, and eventually the conversation turned to "2001: A Space Odyssey". This other person (a college student) hadn't seen it yet, so I recommended it to him.

Then it dawned on me... that movie took place five years ago.

Five years ago!

What happened? It used to be the ultimate futuristic movie! I grew up with that film, marveling at its wonders, and would think of how old I would be when 2001 actually rolled around.

Now - it's history. Five years in the past.

Man, reality is harsh sometimes.

And don't even get me started on Space: 1999.

Hehe... I think the first 200 issues of the Perry Rhodan series are set in 1984 or earlier :_(

Of course, there's also "1984", which is also (brace yourselves) 22 years ago.

And "Death Race 2000". (I was kind of looking forward to that one.)

Finger Food in general

Thomas, I never thought of "Kinder Schokolade" in quite that way...who knows what biological mysteries "Kinder Surprise Eggs" have in store.

Oh right, Adams Family already discussed "Girl Scout Cookies".
