Which covers walking a step, and turning

Here are my first sprites for Prince of Persia. Hopefully cd-w won't be burnt out on 2600 programming after he gets his excellent Juno First finished... :D

My next steps will be:

turn running

simple jump

running jump

crouching

jumping up

climbing

hanging

falling

Nice! :_(

That's going to be a lot of work, but it's going to be mighty impressive when it's all put together.

What software are you using?

Thanks - those sprites frames look fantastic :_( Don't worry about burnout - I feel like I just started 2600 programming, though I can't promise to do it quickly :_( The running jump is the one causing me the most concern as it looks like it will require a very wide sprite.

Thanks! I'm using Photoshop and Imageready. Basically, I'm picking out which frames to keep. Shrinking them down using nearest neighbor (instead of of bilineal). then tweaking from there... :_(

These do look nice. :_(

I'm glad you got an(other) artist, Chris, I was kinda worried that PoP was going to fall by the wayside for lack of sprites. :_(
