Video Pinball
So my boxes of Atari 2600 games in the garage were made of cardboard and the bottom ones were beginning to crumble due to the pressure of there being 5 of them stacked up one atop another. So I decided to empty them all out and put them in the bookshelf in the pantry. While unpacking them, I thought to myself, gee I should try one to see if they all still work okay. That one I picked was Video Pinball. I could have picked a rarer one, like Mr. Do's Castle, or Miner 2049er II or Master Builder, but for some reason I chose it, mainly because I remembered how I used to play it a lot about 10 years ago when I first got my Atari 2600.
So I took it back to my room, hooked up the Atari 2600 and played Video Pinball for about 15 minutes. I had an incredible run with one ball, and I answered a lot of questions I had about the game. Like what happens once you go past 9 on the lane on the left that counts upwards? The answer: It goes back to one. Or what happens when you get 3 balls down the lane on the Atari lane? The answer: Four is needed, and you get a Roman numeral X on the screen.
I think this is the highest score I ever got on Video Pinball. And I'm going to share a photo with you. My highest Video Pinball score ever.
And this is monumental because I suck at random number generator games like this. So anyway, I got all the Atari 2600 games all on my bookshelf in the pantry. It took three shelves to do it, but I did it. Next thing I need to do is integrate the games I've got since I packed them all into the garage in. It was hard because I have about 325 games I needed to do. But they're all in alphabetical order on the three shelves there.
