R.I.P. Richard Joseph

Hi there!

Richard Joseph, one of the most famous computer game musicians died on 4th March 2007

From his early C64 tunes for Palace, over his Amiga work for Sensible Software, the Bitmap Brothers and many more, up to Oblivion in 2006 - it's impossible that one hasn't heard some of his compositions while playing video games.

To get an overview of his impressive lifework check out his Rap-Sheet at Mobygames.

Greetings,

Manuel

What shocks me is that I haven't played a single one of the games for which he's written music, though Oblivion is at the top of my "most wanted".

Quite a rapsheet on Moby. It sucks when the industry loses a talent (not to mention families losing a loved one), but that's a pretty impressive legacy. Looks like he got to do a lot of what he probably enjoyed.

I've played The Chaos Engine, Gods and Speedball 2.

Wizkid - The Story of Wizball II?!? didn't know there was a sequel to Wizball.

It's got almost nothing to do with Wizball unfortunately. It's not even a shoot 'em up! I only played it for like 10 minutes, it seemed to be some kind of strangely mutated Breakout :)
