The Spyro The Dragon series by Insomniac is very well done on the PS1.

 

The Spyro series on the PS2 is pretty crappy. Each PS2 version was made by a different company as Insomniac decided to do the Ratchet and Clank series(which is a must-get if you get a PS2).

Thanks for the recommendation! Too bad that the "Collectors Edition" didn't make it to Europe it seems, so I'll need to buy them individually. OTOH if I don't like the first, I can quit buying the rest

Even though I already sorted out all Madden, NBA, MLB, NFL, FIFA, NHL, WCW, WWF, Soccer, Tennis, Golf, Baseball, Football titles and everything else that looked like sports, there's still over 1200 titles... it'll take a happy decade to finish that one...
