Rarely would I point you to blogs other than mine, but I really love this one:
In fact I read all 17 pages when I discovered it. It's written by an American living in Germany and he's pretty funny and actually spot on in observing "us".

The absolute best time in Germany is a summer day when the sun is shining, which doesn’t often happen.
