Since I am a big SpongeBob fan (i have all the season DVD set except for season 5 volume 2, as well as dozens of items of merchandise bearing his image), I decided long ago to try and make a SpongeBob game for the 2600. That ended being scrapped since it was just basically hurdles. So about a week ago, i decided to try again with a new idea. But what would it be? After thinking about it, i decided on the Bikini Bottom sport of jellyfishing. Basically what it is (in the show, and in the game) is butterfly catching, but instead of butterflies, it's jellyfish. The jellyfish in the show act like bees, so in the game, I made them buzz when you're close to one or more. The more there are, the louder the buzzing is. So basically I made up a plot (since i added a whistle at the end) that goes like this (which could actually be used as an episode plot, IMHO.) There's a jellyfishing contest at Jellyfish Fields, and SpongeBob enters. Now, I have to write a whole story around that (well, i don't have to, but it'd be really neat if i did.) Well, anyway, that's the idea behind my recent attempt at a SpongeBob game. And there is still tons of goose poop in my back yard from yesterday.
